peaceful night

y/n pov:
Neville and I were sitting right on top of the astronomy tower, watching the beautiful sun starting to set. Everything was so calm. There was no noise, just the fresh breeze and some birds singing in the distance.
I reached out for his hand which he happily took in his before sending a smile my way. I smiled back at him. I loved him and I loved this moment.
I laid my head on his shoulder and he exhaled sharply, followed by a silence. Million thoughts were circling around our heads. Fear about the upcoming, rising wizarding war. But now, we were just enjoying the moment, hoping it would last forever, even though we knew it wouldn't.
Suddenly, I felt his soft lips touch my cheek. I smiled again as I turned to look at him: "You missed" I simply said.
He raised his eyebrows at me, confused: "huh?"
"You missed"
I leaned in and I closed the gab between our lips. The kiss was sweet and passionate, something we have wanted to share with each other for a long time.
I let out a giggle as we pulled away. "W-what's so funny?" he asked as he ruffled my hair. "I just-" I smiled, "I just can't believe we're actually here. Together."
"Well y/n, love does work in mysterious ways" he said shyly before I buried my face into his neck.
