legends.

y/n pov:

This is it. Sunset Curve was going to play The Orpheum. Everything they had worked for has led to this moment and they were gonna rock the stage tonight.

Me being Alex's, Bobby's and Luke's best friend and Reggie's girlfriend, I stuck around and helped the boys every step of the way and helped them put their demo together. They were going to be legends.

We finished soundcheck early and we were all hungry. Luke suggested we'd fuel up before the show since we had a long night ahead of us. Bobby didn't want to come, since he had caught his eyes on a waitress and had had a hamburger for lunch. So, clearly, he wasn't that hungry.

We stepped out of the venue to the sunset buleward, into the fresh air. Luke was the first one to speak up.

"That's what I'm talking about!" he said enthusiastically while taking a few steps forward.

Alex looked at him in confusion: "The smell of sunset buleward?"

I let out a chuckle as I saw Luke looking at Alex under his eyes. "No" Luke said playfully as he shoved Alex. We all started to make our way closer to the front doors were the fans were waiting.

"That's what that girl said in there tonight about our music" Luke continued. "Alright it's like an energy, connects us with people. They can feel us when we play."

Luke's eyes sparkled as he talked about their music. I looked at Reggie who was already looking at me with a smiley face.

Luke pulled us all to his sides, for a bit of a group hug. "And I want that connection with everybody" he said.

Reggie looked at us. "Then we're gonna need more t-shirts" he said, showing us the tho white shirts that he was holding.

We all laughed at him before pulling away from the hug. "Let's go" Luke chuckled and we made our way to the hot god stands.

Along the way, Reggie stopped by some girls who were waiting in line and gave them the t-shirts. "Ladies" he smiled at them as he handed the shirts over.

As we made our way away from the crowd, we could still hear the girls shouting after Reggie. "Well aren't you a charmer" I chuckled at my boyfriend, pulling him more to my side, showing the girls that he was taken.

We got our street dogs and made ourselves comfortable on a sofa near the booth. Luke was going emotional again.

"This is awesome you guys" he said. "We're playing The Orpheum!" he continued with a huge smile plastered on his face.

I laid my head on Reggie's shoulder as I watched Luke rant about their opportunity once again. "I can't even count how many bands have played here and then ended up being huge!"

Alex looked at Luke in awe. This was really their moment to make it or break it.

Luke held his hot dog up high. "Eat up, guys and gals. Because after tonight, everything changes" Luke said happily.

"Amen to that" I commented and I heard the guys chuckle.

We all took a bite of our own street dogs. Alex's smile turned into a confused look immediately. It's like he realized that something wasn't right. Luke looked confused as well.

He turned to us: "That's a new flavor..."

"Chill man, street dogs haven't killed us yet" Reggie smiled calmly. Luke and I hesitated before we took a bite of our hot dogs again.

And little did we know, that night did change everything for us. But not really the way we expected...
