Y/n pov:

"What are you reading y/l/n?" the platinum haired boy asked me. I heard his footsteps approaching me slowly. I lifted my head up from the book I was reading.

"Little Women" I smiled as I faced him.

His lips tugged into a smile. "Little Women...is that a muggle book?" he asked me. His expressions made a soft blush rise to my cheeks.

I sent a smirk his way. "Maybe it is...just don't tell Snape."

"I won't" he laughed.

He took a seat next to me beside a big old oak tree. Draco has always been surprisingly nice to me, despite all his popularity and money. I didn't really expect that from the heir of slytherin but when I got to know him a lot more, he turned out to be somewhat sensitive and a good listener.

I turned the page in my book and Draco's smiley face faded. "Hey! I wasn't done yet! Meg was just about to attend the ball!"

I laughed at his childishness. "sorry, I gotta go to Herbology" I said. "But I'll see you later?"

"Yeah" he shrugged before I started walking away from him. I could feel his eyes on my back the whole time I was in his sight.

----

"So y/n, you and Malfoy?" Ron said to me as we sat down on the great hall.

I panicked. "What about that?"

"Are you two an item?" Ginny said, clearing up her brother's statement.

I searched the great hall to find the familiar green eyes staring at me. Draco. When my eyes met his, he quickly looked away and covered his face with one hand, possibly trying to hide the smile that was on his face.

I turned my attention back to my friends. "No, what made you think that?"

"Luna said she saw you guys today pretty close to each other, under that one oak tree" Ron snickered. Harry joined in too.

I rolled my eyes at them. "Why would you even consider that? He's a rich, popular kid. And well, I'm...me" I stuttered. True to be told, I wasn't exactly sure how I felt.

"He's a wuss, that's what he is" Harry whispered but it was loud enough for us to hear.

Hermione nodded along Harry's words, agreeing with him. "And a bully. Has been for years." she added.

Slight anger was building up inside me. Sure, Slytherin and Gryffindor haven't ever exactly been mates and when it came to starting a fight, Malfoy was usually the starter of one. Still, they shouldn't be calling him names like this.

I realized Draco was no longer sitting at his spot with his friends. So, I got up from the table. "Excuse me" I muttered before walking away from my friends. I only wanted to see him, right now.

----

It didn't take me long until a found Draco on the hallway, close to the defense against the dark arts classroom. His face lit up when he saw me. "We need to talk" I said as I approached him. He nodded his head slowly, unsure of where this conversation was going.

I pulled him along to a darker space where people wouldn't pay that much attention to us. "What's up?" he asked shortly after.

I let out a long sigh before speaking. "Draco, what exactly are we?"

Draco crossed his eyebrows quickly. "What do you mean?"

"My friends are getting suspicious about us. They think there's something shady going on" I said, not breaking eye contact with him.

"But there isn't anything going on?" he shook his head.

"That's what I told them!" I whisper yelled to him, although I didn't mean to snap like that. "I just think that they think that it's weird for us to hang out. You know, since we sort of have different values when it comes to popularity."

That was the breaking point for him. "I don't give a bloody hell about what they think y/n! I don't care what anyone thinks! I love you!" he shouted straight to my face.

My eyes widened. It took me a moment to process all of this. Draco seemed pretty starstruck about his words too.

"You love me?" I managed to say out loud, the shock never leaving my face.

Draco took a second before quickly nodding his head. "Yes. I-I think I do"

The platinum haired slytherin boy who hardly ever experienced love at his home or with his friends had feelings for me. A girl who was basically the opposite of him.

I pulled him in for a tight hug and after some seconds, he wrapped his arms around me as well. "I love you too Draco" I whispered. After that, he wrapped his arms around me even tighter.

Like he was never going to let go.
