I've been reading a lot of people's Wattpad stories on merfolk, and the different species, and one thing that was frequently mentioned was that sirens aren't merfolk and that they're evil, ruthless killing putas. But then some other stories were saying the opposite. So this chapter is to help all of you to learn about sirens and the common misconceptions...
Sirens...when people hear that in the context of merfolk their minds immediately think of evil temptresses who kill sailors for fun. That's not true!!! Sirens just love to sing, like a lot of landfolk. They're usually groups of beautiful female mers who sing songs of whatever they desire and sailors who hear the sound are drawn towards the women because of lust and they "couldn't resist". But anyway, my point is, sirens are merfolk and they're just like landfolk in the sense that you can meet some bad sirens and some good ones. Not much else to say other than don't be rude to the people you don't understand, and make an effort to understand them, otherwise we end up like the landfolk: torn apart from divisiveness and hate brewed from misunderstandings and prejudice.
