Hey guppies!
So as you know I've completely shifted into a merman, and now I'm trying to shift into a wolf. The beauty of both is the heightened sense of smell that I get, even when I'm human.
The only downside it when I'm able to smell food that's gone off. It smells like the inside of a rubbish bin that's crawling with maggots (depending on the food), but I'm able to smell it from about 20 meters (65.62 feet) away. It's just foul.
My grandfather brought home crab that he won from a raffle (cooked the same day) but it sat in the fridge uneaten for a few days an I didn't want to open the fridge because it could smell it from down the hallway. Seafood isn't supposed to smell if it's fresh. Obviously it was a few days old, so it wasn't fresh but still, it was terrible.
So this is kind of just a warning, your sense of smell will increase tenfold, depending on what sea creature you base your merperson form off of.
It's good in some cases, but as is the law of the universe, there must be a balance. So if you're able to smell things really well, you're also going to be able to smell the bad things really well.
That's all for now guppies!
Feel free to check out my other book, Werewolf Shifting!
Cheers,
~ Magnus
Edit: I'm no longer wolf shifting as I found it extremely difficult compared to merman shifting
