Not really an update on my shifting progress but it is a story I'd like to share.
Last night I was out putting my dog to bed when there was a massive slash in the water if the canal. It had sprayed on the poles of our property so it was pretty close by the wall of the canal. I saw a huge fin splash up then disappear for a while.
Tonight, the same fin appeared again when I was putting dinner scraps into the canal. The place is pretty well lit so I could see the tail somewhat clearly. But tonight my dog started to bark at it and he never barks at anything unless he feels the thing is a threat (which is extremely rare) but I said "It's okay, it won't hurt us." And my dog calmed down but kept a soft growl. I put the scraps into the canal and watched. I saw a fricking hand grab the food.
The tail, as I mentioned, I saw relatively well, so I will try my best to describe it. It was a broad fluke, a brown/dark blue colour and it looked very strong.

I don't really know what else to say but it was interesting so see it two nights in a row.
