Ciao, guppies!

I recently have had a few panic attacks and afterwards I realised some of you who may have low mental health might also get them, but possibly mistake them for m-flares. So I just wanted to clarify a few things:

Panic attacks feel like your chest is tight, your heart rate is high and you might even feel like you're suffocating a bit so you hyperventilate. You might be crying a lot and also feel like you're about to/are dying. You might start panic sweating, lose some hair, get tight muscles and not be able to speak or move very easily. The main thing here, though, is you have no idea what's going on if you haven't experienced this regularly or even if you haven't, you feel like you are dying (in a way).

M-flares is when you want freedom, you want to leave and go swimming with your tail, but you're trapped however the symptoms for panic attacks are similar for m-flares. (These are my symptoms, they vary from person to person).

The main difference is:

M-flares - you know the cause and can think well enough to calm down/remove yourself from the situation. You can move freely but your heart and mind conflict.

Panic attacks - you don't always know the cause and can't think well enough to calm down or leave, and you are likely seized up and unable to move much.

I felt the need to share this because it's important you seek help for both things with people that can be trusted by you.

Stay safe!

Magnus~
