Chapter 2 - The challenge for the Sunshine, BEGINS! Part 1 Aoba Johsai

Narrator POV:
After everyone was introduced, Coach Ukai was about to talk about what Hinata's position was until...
"I GOT ONE! I GOT ONE!" Yells the curly, black hair man with glasses, as he crouches panting while holding a paper at the gymnasium door. (Quick note: this is sort of when they've already had their 3 on 3 game, but Coach Ukai is here and btw they didn't have the 3 on 3 game 😅)
"You got what, Takeda-sensei?" asks Daichi.
"A practice match with Aoba Johsai!" Shouts the tired from running Sensei. Everyone in the gym is surprised how they got a practice game with one of the top 4 volleyball teams of their prefecture!
"H-how did you do that?!" Sugawara asks in shock.
"Did you go begging on your knees?" Daichi kicks in.
"Oh, I didn't have to! They're interested in one of our players..." Takeda says. They're all trying to figure out who Aoba Johsai is interested in...someone speaks up.
"I think its me." the blueberry boy (Kageyama) says, leaving everyone confused, except Hinata who is picking up volleyballs.
"PFFFT! WHY WOULD THEY WANT A CRANKY FIRST YEAR!?" A second-year, who is bald named Tanaka, shouts breaking the silence.
"Someone there, used to be my upperclassmen...he's been trying to beat me ever since we met." Kageyama answers. While in the background Hinata is still collecting volleyballs and places them in the cart, listening to the conversation.
"All right then, what are the details?" Ukai asked.
"Well for one, they want Kageyama as the setter." Takeda-sensei answered, leaving the third-years and second-years shocked.
"It's fine. Besides, we don't normally get to play the top 4 everyday, right?" Sugawara, a boy with silver hair, said while smiling reassuring the others he's fine. Hinata walks up to him, making him slightly blush just looking into the Tangerine's soft, hazel eyes.
"D-do you need s-something?" Suga finally spoke. Hinata came closer and hugged Suga, making him blush more and felt warm...
"AHEM." Coach Ukai said very clearly, making Hinata let go and look at his Papa in confusion. Suga felt disappointed, he wanted the hug to continue, he liked the way Hinata wrapped his arms around him.
"Anyways, continue sensei."
"A-alright then, um. It will be next Tuseday, at 5 pm (I have no idea when they scheduled it, I forgot 😅), since they don't have a lot of time after school. So we will take a bus at 3:30." Takeda-sensei said, loud enough for everyone to hear. Everyone replied with an "Osu"! Coach Ukai called them all to gather around, so that they could continue the conversation from earlier.
"As I was saying, my little Shoyo here is a middle blocker." as Coach Ukai says so, everyone feels a huge wave of shock and it showed on their faces because Coach Ukai let out a sigh. He knew what was needed.
"Alright Sho, show them what you've got." He said with a tired tone, knowing what Hinata was capable of. Hinata nods, he takes a ball from the cart and points at Sugawara.
"Huh?"
"He wants you to set for him." Coach Ukai rolls his eyes.
"Oh, sorry!" Suga walks into position, Hinata throws up the ball up. Suga sets it, Hinata runs swiftly and jumps at the perfect timing and incredible speed. Everyone looks up, how can someone who jumps higher than his own height do something like that? Immediately, you can hear a SMASH of a ball onto the ground. They're all left amazed. Hinata walks up to Coach, looking at him in the eyes for feedback.
"Sho, next time try to go more than half your speed."
"THAT WAS ONLY HALF?!?!?" Everyone in the gymnasium shouts.
"Yep, you heard me. That's only half his speed, I can't keep up with him when he's energized" he lets out a sigh of exhaust, still everyone in shock (Takeda-sensei with a proud mom smile). The Coach looks at the clock and realizes the time.
"HAI! It's time to go home. Get a good nights rest."
"Osu!" They all get out of their faze and get ready to go home. Hinata gets his bags and walks out with Coach Ukai. While they were driving Ukai started a conversation.
"So how was your day Sho?" Ukai said while looking into the mirror meeting Hinata's brown, hazel eyes.
"I-it was a-alright." answered Hinata, looking out the window watching as the scenery moves.
"Were they atleast nice to you? Cause if not, I know what to do." Ukai says with an evil smirk. Hinata feels chills go up his spine, he turns to Ukai and answered with-
"Y-yes, t-they were v-very nice!"
"Good, anyways we're here!" they both get out the car and get into the house getting greeted with Nastu hugging both of them! Such a delightful surprise they experience everyday. 💖
"WELCOME HOME NII-CHAN SHO AND PAPA!!!" they both chuckle.
"Well, hello to you to Natsu." Hinata replied. Ukai then carried the baby Tangerine up, spinning her around.
"WHEEE!!"
"HAHA, good evening my baby tangerine!" He sets her down. He took off his shoes, his bags set down on the floor and went to the kitchen to be met with Grandpa Ukai.
"Hey old man."
"Did you slack off today?"
"I HAVEN'T💢"
"WELL I WAS JUST ASKING SINCE YOU SEEM LIKE YOU WOULD!!💢" as the two fight in the living room, Hinata and Natsu giggle. Hinata then walks into the kitchen and prepares their dinner before they go to sleep. As they eat, Ikkei speaks up.
"How did the volleyball team react to Shoyo today, worthless grandson?" Coach felt furious, but didn't want to raise his voice, being called worthless.
"Shocked as always, old man.💢"
"I just wanted to know and I'm not that old!💢" Coach Ukai puts his food down then replies.
"WELL I'M NOT WORTHLESS EITHER!"
"YOU ARE, A GOOD FOR NOTHING WORTHLESS GRANDSON! 💢" the two once begin bickering while the tangerines giggle while eating their meal.
{*Time skip*}
A week has gone by, after many practice games and Hinata shocking everyone with his speed and agility, each time. It is now after-school and Takeda-sensei is doing role call.
"Sawamura?"
"Hai!"
"Sugawara?"
"Hai!"
"Azumane?"
"H-hai!"
It was finally Hinata's turn.
"Sho?" He rose his hand up, sort of disappointing since Takeda-sensei wanted to hear his cute, innocent voice. Coach Ukai noticed, feeling disappointed himself.
"Alright everyone, on the bus! Everyone knows their partners, so get to it!" as everyone went into the bus, Hinata sat next to Tsukishima making everyone jealous. In return, Tsukishima smirked and put on his headphones. Hinata then looks out the window, watching the scenery. As 2 hours passed, they finally arrived, they all get out tired and start walking up to the school.
"This school is so big!" shouts Tanaka as they enter the gym, receiving a BONK on his shaved head. Hinata looks around and sees all the tall players, hiding behind Ukai and grabbing the attention of everyone. They all look at him, seeing how chibi he is, in awe. Whispers go around the gym, making Ukai and Takeda-sensei (dad and mom) angry. After they're all out of the trance, they all bow down to greet eachother.
"Hai, team 1 against Karasuno". As they all set up, they see up close the chibi tangerine, confused on how short he is and yet he's a middle blocker. A position, where height is essential. Karasuno served first, getting the ball received and up for an attack. As Iwazumi goes in to hit the ball, Hinata was infront of him already. Amazed, Iwazumi spikes it up, letting Hinata one-touch it. Once Nishinoya received it and Kageyama set it, Hinata then spiked it, and it hit the ground. Everyone left amazed...

Author's note: sorry how long this took, I've been busy with school work and once I was free I forgot I made this 😅 and this is really long too! Anyways, hope you enjoyed and stay tuned for chapter 3! ✨
