A Silent Sunshine {Hiatus?}

🎊 ~New Year's Special~ 🎊

Shoyo came into the grand gym with many gifts in his arms, they held another that week to celebrate the new year. It was 3 minutes before midnight, they were high on juice and meat. The team's were completely spoiled that day to celebrate the year ending, everything was loud and chaotic but luckily few managers, coaches and Shoyo were conscious enough to help out with the gift giveaway.

"Shoyo! Over here!" Kiyoko called out by the tables with empty grills and bowls that held the juice and meat the teams ate. Shoyo slowly walked over to her but was bumped by a blond named Terushima who was going crazy. Shoyo fell on his knees and dropped the gifts, he was disappointed and glared at tTerushima for making him fall and quickly regathered the boxes.

"Hehe sorry, let me help you with that." Terushima grabbed the rest of the ones on the ground and followed Shoyo to Kiyoko who was worried to say the very least.

"Are you okay, Hinata?" She asked, Shoyo replied with a smile and set down the boxes accordingly and snatched the ones from Terushima and set them down. He turned to Terushima and gave him a wide smile as a thank you, Terushima flushed and smiled back. He ran back to the group he was talking to earlier, bragging and fangirling over the recent event. 2 minutes had passed and the countdown was about to happen soon.

"Everyone!  Gather 'round! We are about to start the countdown so let's head outside!" Everyone went outdoors to the dark sky, barely lit up by the far away stars. Someone suddenly got hold of Shoyo's small hand, he looked to his right and saw Asahi smiling up at the night sky. Shoyo smiled in delight and crept closer to his loved one, the countdown began.

"Happy New Year!" Everyone in the yard shouted, fireworks then lit up the sky. Vibrant colors and loud explosions from far off made such a beautiful sight, different shapes amused afew. After around 10 minutes of a show, it turned silent with only the bugs chirping. Everyone got up from the fresh, green grass and walked back inside their own rooms tired from all the fun that night. They had forgotten the gifts but were brought by the (now drunk) coaches into their rooms and would be surprised in the morning.

Asahi and Shoyo cuddled in one futon to share warmth and the others were too tired to notice, which was good news to Asahi until he wakes up the next day because for sure he would get looks from them.

A/n: 2021 will soon be gone for me...11:23 pm currently but I'm scared for 2022. Hopefully we'll get through it atleast better than 2020, right? It doesn't have to be perfect but atleast not as bad as 2020 was. I want a calmer 2021 to be the present 2022, it feels like the future already haha. Anyways, enjoy your 2022 and love yourself. You're not alone in this :)
