Chapter 42 - Just chilling

"Yes!" We tried mutplie different heights, speeds, strengths. He's more adaptable to my needs, but I've got lots to learn. "Thanks a lot, Toru-san, I really needed a warm up," coaches came in the gym and saw us. We helped them set up, calling the teams for an announcement. "Tommorow, we will have surprise for you all," everyone bursted with excitement, "but, you must work extra hard, or else."

The coaches gave us a glare that could kill, I'm sure everyone will be tired after this.

My hunch was right, the coaches were working us to the bone. Even Kenma put in lots of effort to the point that he was too tired to play his games after, impressive.

Looking around the gym, even the less energetic teammates were tired out. Of course I was too, no endurance training up a hill every day would prepare anyone for this intensity. We all smelled and our coaches didn't sugarcoat it, rushing us to the showers. So refreshing after getting yelled at all day, didn't even know some of them could be that loud, stung my ears.

"Hey, I overheard the coaches whilst they were screaming orders at us,"

"Okay? So what, Sawamura?"

"Well, Suga, tomorrow's surprise is a barbecue!" We all had collectively gasped, drooling at the thought of delicous meat! Yes! Yes! Yes! Noya-san and Tanaka-senpai were both ecstatic, practically jumping up and down the room. My goodness, it was crazy, Kino, Nari, Suga-senpai and Kage were absolutely disastrous.

Wasn't surprised when Papa and Takeda-sensei came into our room and scolded us for our commotion. Nobody snitched on Mura for practically starting all of this, but it's not as if he overreacted like the others.

Papa punished us by forcing us to sleep, which was unfair but that's just how he is. They both said goodnight to me before leaving, weird-ing out the others. "So, are they your dads or something?"

"Hmm? No, they're just dating for the moment,"

"Oh, for how long?"

"Mm, hard to say. Ever since papa took over the shop for grandma?"

"Is that long?"

"Over course that is, baka,"

"Tch, Tsukki!"

"Shut up,"

"Classic Tsukishima, alright. Let's get our shut eye before we get yelled at more,"

"Night!" Everybody fell asleep quickly, except for Kei. I sighed, he's been alone to be left awake at night while the rest of us were sleeping soundly. I felt extremely guilty, so of course I go and comfort him to sleep.

Luckily, Azu was on the other side of me so I didn't leave him alone either. Kei looked shocked when we met eyes, he diverted his eyes away from mine. Oh, Kei, no need to be embarrassed. I waited for him to finally rest before I turned over to Azu sleeping soundly, I smiled before letting my heavy eyelids down.

*Day 13
I met Takanobu-kun in the hallways, his expression never seemed to change whenever I looked at him from afar, but his face was red now that I'm in closer distance. "Mm, good morning," I smiled, he nodded to my gesture and I offered to take him on a walk on the field.

The sun shone brightly, I could already tell that it was going to be a hot day, perfect for a meat treat! Sideeye-ing Takanobu-kun, he looked deep in thought. How adorable, reminds me of Kozu. He sighed, I looked over to him, he pointed to the tree. "Oh, shade?"

"Mm," we sat, laying my head on his shoulder, very hard. Similar to Azu, but not as soft. Sitting there, I could hear the crickets, closing my eyes to feel the grass. We sat there for so long that I spaced out, We didn't have any practice today and decided to relax.

Takanobu-kun's breathing was soft but gruff, almost shaky. How nervous is he to be around me? Opening my eyes, he was looking down at my hair, I chuckled. He tensed, ultimately looking away. "I don't mind you looking, Takanobu-kun. People really like my hair," his face grew in blush, how sweet.

"Ah, Sho and...Aone?" Azu stood next to us, "mm, good morning Azu, sleep well?" He nodded slowly, eyeing Takanobu-kun. "Let's go Takanobu-kun, you must be hungry," us three walked back inside, I'm going to miss this. Upon arriving to the cafeteria, Takanobu-kun and Toru-san decided to join our table.

"Yahoo, Shoyo-kun! Did you, eh, sleep okay?" He was the most talkative of us five, which I appreciate. "Mhm, thank you for your effort yesterday. It was really fun,"

"oh, no problem! Ask me anytime, I enjoyed our time too," Asahi joined in our conversation for the rest of the meal, Kozu and Takanobu-kun staying silent, but they kept a good ear.

After, we stayed together and even sat with each other when the coaches were finally showing the "surprise". We all screamed in glee, stars in our eyes and drooling that could reach to the ground. Rushing over to the delicous picks, I spotted the managers. "Yachi! Kiyoko!" They spotted me and came over to talk.

We had a nice little chat before the coaches called them for help, I went back over to Kozu, who was being forced by Tetsurou-san to eat his food. Haha, he noticed me and gave up resisting. "Woah! You actually ate without me taking your games?!" Kozu blushed in embarassment, then Tetsurou-san turned around to see me. His eyes widened, face with little red, now realizing why Kozu finally complied.

"Oya! Chibi-chan, good to see ya here! Got lots I see, keke,"

"Of course, I can't pass down a chance of eating this much meat," Kozu and Azu blushed while Tetsurou-san smirked, such dirty minds.

"Care to, elaborate, chibi-chan?"

"I said what I said, and I meant it either way," I winked, going over to sit by Takanobu-kun. I could tell I caught them off guard with that one, barely keeping my laughter in. I talked to Takanobu-kun when Futakuchi-kun sat beside us.

"Ah, the infamous Karasuno number 10, amazing how your team has risen the crows to their glory once more,"

"Mm, flightless crows. 'Because people don't have wings, they look for ways to fly',"

"Huh?"

"Something papa would say," they looked at me with puzzled looks.

"Similar to how you jump immensely on court?" I nodded, tired of  talking, I wanted to eat.

"Shoyo!! Come over here!!" I excused myself, walking over to Noya-san and Tanaka-senpai. "Kouhai! So, me and Yuu were thinking, why not treat us with a little something special?" They wiggled their eyebrows, with perverted smirks. "Ano?"

"You know, maybe a little dress up or treats?"

"Ah, you guys want me to bake tomorrow?"

"Oh absolutely! But~" They slurred, now blush on their face. I'm worried.

"We want to see you in a cute fit!" My head blanked, what did they just ask me?

"Woah, woah! Now why are you guys asking that?!" Mura-san came to my rescue.

"Well, I wouldn't mind seeing Hinata in something adorable but! If he's uncomfortable with the idea then no need to push," I started to sweat bullets. What do I do?!
