A Silent Sunshine {Hiatus?}

☀️Chapter 5~To Tokyo!☀️

3 weeks have already passed, the tests are tomorrow and there was a lot of mixed feelings of worry, confidence & fear.
"Are you ready for the tests tomorrow Sho?" asked Coach Ukai to Hinata while they were driving in the car.
"M-maybe..." replied Hinata. Ukai already knew he was going to pass, he was a very smart kid in everything. Maybe even smarter than Tsukishima. They arrived to Karasuno, ready for the tests. All tests were taken, it was after school practice. The crackhead duo & the blueberry were panicking the whole way, it messed the up and everybody was worried they might not make it through the training camp. Oh well, who knows...

It was the time to get the tests results back, people were being worried, what if I fail? My parents are going to ground me if I don't get over 40 percent! Please, please, please, please, please! PLEASE CAN I NOT FAIL THIS ONE TIME?!
Despite all of these thoughts, the ones who were most anxious was the dumb trio of the volleyball club, Kageyama, Nishinoya & Tanaka. They really wanted to go to the match against their old rivals but for it to happen, they need to pass this test...

*{Time Skip afterschool, in the club room}*
"Yoo hoo! Yes!" shrieked Noya.
"What score did ya get bro?!" yelled Tanaka.
"A solid 42!" replied Noya.
"HA! I got a 43 bro!" screeched back Tanaka.
"WHAT?! HOW?!"
"Well I guess I'm smarter than you~" Tanaka said while smirking at Noya, making him angry at his best bro. On the other hand...
"A 38?!" Everyone looked to where the voice came from, it was Suga. They all look at eachother, they walked towards the silver haired third-year. Turns out, Kageyama was the one who got a 38 on his test, in the back Tsukishima and the double-trouble duo started to snicker. The blueberry took noticed and yelled insults at the three, triggering Daichi. All the others just went out of the clubroom and headed towards the gym, there they saw Hinata practicing serves. He was doing multiple types of serves, normal serves, jump serves, but the one serve that caught their eyes were his float serves, where the ball gets an unsteady course, making it hard to receive. Yamaguchi REALLY wanted to master that serve, but couldn't do it as well as Hinata. (I know Yams learned that only later on but I changed this story a LOT)
"H-hinata!'' Hinata looked back and saw Yamaguchi, he replied with a 'hmm?', making the others blush.
"U-uh, could y-you teach m-me how to do a f-float serve?" Yamaguchi stuttered. Hinata nodded, he taught by using actions like, how fast or how high he should hit or how much speed he should put. Yamaguchi understood then tried it for himself, he was amazed on how well he did it. It wasn't the best but still better than how he used to do, Hinata gave him a warm smile reassuring him that it was great. Yamaguchi returned the smile with one of his own. Meanwhile, in the background everyone felt a little heated on the inside, knowing that Yamaguchi could be very close to Hinata when they're just watching. There was a sudden clap from the entrance. They all turn to look at their coach, beside Takeda-sensei.
"Alright everyone, we all got our results back. Now, Kageyama." Coach Ukai said sternly, while looking at their blueberry setter. It sent chills down his spine.
"H-hai..?" Kageyama managed to say.
"Since you did not get a high enough score, you will take another test. Which means you can't join us in the bus." Kageyama looked down disappointed, Hinata then walked towards Ukai.
"Hmm? What do you need Sho?" Ukai said in a confused voice, Hinata used his puppy eyes, making Takeda chuckle and Ukai feeling guilty for something he didn't know what.
"What is it? Do you feel bad for Kageyama? Is that why you're using your puppy eyes on me?" Hinata replied with a nod. Ukai sighed, he knew that Hinata was too nice for his own good.
"I might have a solution to that problem!" someone yelled, it was Tanaka who just came out from the clubroom with everyone else.
"What is it?" asked Suga.
"My older sister! She can drive you after you test!" Kageyama really wanted to play so he agreed, but there were warnings from Tanaka that his safety was not a concern to his sister. Kags couldn't decline since Tanaka already told his sister. There was a frown on his face for the whole practice. (Not like its normal 😒)
*{Time skip to next day}*
It was finally time to have a match with Nekoma, but while Ukai was driving, Hinata saw someone sitting outside alone. He was curious why he was left alone, so he decided he would figure it out.
"U-um, Papa?" Hinata said silently.
"Yes?" Ukai said in the mirror.
"Can I w-walk t-to school today..?" Ukai was surprised, he didn't mind though. He let Hinata out of the car and took Nastu to her school. Hinata walked up to the boy he saw and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Huh?" said the boy. Hinata waved, making the boy blushed. Hinata observed the boy, he had a sort of ombre in his hair, and had cat-like eyes.
"U-um...who are y-you?" the boy stood up, reaching out his hand to be shaken. Hinata shook it, the boy felt warm in that moment like never before. He smiled.
"Ukai-Hinata Shoyo." Hinata said quietly, but enough for the boy to hear.
"Kenma Kozume." they both smiled at eachother, then started walking. They split ways once Hinata was a street away from Karasuno. As he got on the school grounds, he saw the majority of the volleyball team there, but no Coach or Sensei yet. He walked towards them, then waved. They all had a tint of blush on their cheeks, some more noticeable than others. They started conversation with Hinata while he just nodded or stayed silent. Finally the two adults arrive, they all went into the bus. The seat mates changed, which meant that Yamaguchi had a turn to sit with Hinata all the way in the back. Which made everyone jealous, even the King & salt. It took a couple of hours, but they finally made it. Once everyone made it out, Hinata looked at a certain pudding head. He stared at him for awhile before he stared back with a smile. He walked up to him and took his hand out.
"Hi Shoyo."
