Chapter 40 - Distress

"What's that?" You know what, can't blame them for not knowing, "when it's not just 2 people in a romantic relationship, could be 3, 4, anything the people in it are comfortable with." I think they understand now, although, I don't know if we should share this with the rest of our legion of simps. We need to ask for permission, I looked back to their tree, only seeing Asahi and Kyanma. Where did chibi-chan go?

Ukai POV
Sho has been asleep for awhile, that even it's close to dinner. This must've really upset him, normally he's only out for an hour or two. "Mm," oh, is he finally awake?

"Papa?" "I'm right here," he stayed silent before finally speaking. "How many crushes did you have in highschool?" That shocked me, "eh, why do you ask?" He sighed, oh uh, did I say something wrong?

"Well, I didn't but, it's normal if you do," Sho didn't seem satisfied with my answer. I kept patting his back, hoping to reassure him, he's definitely calmer now. "What if, you like multiple people at the same time?" ah, I see now. "Well, you're analytic, just decide who you think you would be happiest with, boy or girl," he smiled and I kissed his forehead.

Hinata POV
As much as I appreciate papa's attempt to comfort me, I don't think I could ever tell him about what how I truly feel. Yes, he's my papa and I know he loves me, but we only know that love can be with one person. Not two, or other attractive people in general. I only learnt about this because Azu told me! I didn't know how to label whatever, this, is! Whatever it is I feel!

"Thanks, papa, I'll go have some food, I'm hungry," I laughed off and he let me go. I walked to the cafeteria, noticing the time. Holy shit, it's late, how did I not notice?!

"Sho?" Kozu appeared infront of me, scaring the ever loving life out of me, "ah!" "Shoyo!" I flinched, "oh my God, I am so so so sorry!" They slowly approached me in a hug, that works for me. We were awkwardly standing in the middle of the hallway when I heard footsteps, I panicked and pushed them both away. I saw they had shocked faces and I gave them a pleading look, their ears perked when they finally caught on what I heard.

"Oh, it's you three," Kozu sneered, I gave him a look and he scoffed. "You're not helping, Kenma!" Azu whispered, Kozu just rolled his eyes. He's being really stubborn, this is not the time for his pettiness! "Ah, hey, pudding head," "Kyanma! Why are you here with Karasuno's #3 and 10?" Kuroo-senpai didn't say anything.

I'm uncomfortable, there's so many people in the middle fo the hall and dinner is in only a few minutes! I elbowed Azu while we were standing, staring silently at eachother. He looked down at me and I gestured to the cafeteria, he got my message. "Hey, there's only 10 minutes 'till dinner and we need an early rest for tomorrow, right? I mean, we're on day 11!"

All of us looked at him in surprise, "what?! We're already almost done?!" "Well, yeah? This is a two week long training camp," "I haven't been keeping track! I've been so busy with," Bokuto-senpai quickly looked at me and blushed. Oh, oh! Oh no, no, no, "ehehe, let's just go, I'm hungry," I whispered to Kozu, he nodded and signaled to Azu to stop talking.

"Anyways, um, yeah, we should go and get food while it's still hot!" He quickly walked out of the conversation and walked next to us, "are you nervous about them finding out? Are you not comfortable with it?" I nodded. Azu and Kozu gave me a look, one I didn't like seeing, they felt guilty and I didn't want that. "We'll tell them soon, don't worry!" I smiled, that seemed to cheer them up.

I don't know though, as much as I would love to be out in public, being able to love eachother freely, I'm worried. And seeing that there's lots going on in my current love life, it's a mess! I don't know if I'm cut out for this polyamorous relationship. Fuck, what am I doing?
