Protecting Mr. Wimp

Chapter 30

Gina was the first to snap out from the shock but Michael remained in the same state. Tyler was smirking while Brandon looked horrified and Logan was flabbergasted.

Gina scowled at Tyler, "You jerk, how did you manage to prank us again?"

His smirk visibly widened as he replied, "Michael didn't tell you everything, did he?" He averted his gaze to Michael then faked a hurt look, "And I thought we were friends, Mike."

Michael focused his attention on him and glared, "We were never friends."

Tyler nodded, "You're right, but did you forget all those times I sent you those letters?"

His jaw clenched, "Those weren't letters, those were threats!" Gina's jaw dropped and Tyler continued to smirk as he continued, "You've been sending me threats every single day since we graduated high school!"

Tyler pouted, "Aw, Mike, you know I was just messing with you."

Michael replied with a glare while Gina went into a thinking state, suddenly all the pieces of the puzzle started to fit together and everything started to make sense, why Michael was in this situation, why exactly she had to protect him, what was the cause of all of this, it all started to make sense to her.

Why hadn't she inquired him about his situation before? How could she have been so stupid? Before accepting the job, she should've inquired about the situation first. But instead she just accepted it like information didn't matter.

She narrowed her eyes at Michael, looks like she will have to have a little chat with him. Then suddenly, she scowled, Michael was such an idiot. That is, if her assumptions turn out right.

She shot daggers at him, and noticing her deathly look he turned to her warily and asked, "What...?"

Her gaze hardened, "Why didn't you tell me any of this before?"

He shifted his weight uncomfortably, "I didn't think it was important..."

"It sure as hell was! You should've.... ugh, wait a minute." She shot him another deathly look, then turned back to look at Tyler who was silently watching them both, "You, I'm sure you know your way around this house, take your buddy and leave us alone for a while. I'll catch up with you later but right now, I want to talk with him."

Tyler grinned teasingly, "And what if I don't want to leave?"

She glowered at him, "I'm not in the mood for games, Bryant."

He opened his mouth to retort but Brandon nudged him, "I-I think we should leave for n-now. C-Can you j-joke around l-later, please?"

Tyler sighed and rolled his eyes at him, but nodded, "Okay, we'll leave. But remember, I won't stay up in my room all day. So you better hurry."

She just nodded, glaring at Michael.

Tyler raised his eyebrows at her, "Okay, then. We'll just be up in our rooms." He started to walk away, "Come on, Brandon." He nodded and followed.

Then, the room was empty except for Logan, Michael and Gina. Tessa had already left because she couldn't waste her time watching adults argue, she would've missed her favorite princess show. No one even noticed her when she left, ah, the perks of being shorter.

Michael was now sitting on the couch and hesitantly looked up and Gina, only to cringe when he saw the look she was giving him, "Gina, I didn't think-"
