Protecting Mr. Wimp
Chapter 26
Now, if she only knew what made Michael mad, her life and her job would become so much easier. But, no... he just had to be the kind of person that rarely got angry, why does this had to happen to her? Now what will she do?
Earlier that day, she noticed something in Michael's expression when he hit the bag and suddenly, everything started to make sense. She noticed that before punching it, he was a bit hesitant, probably because he didn't like the idea of hitting anyone or, in this matter, anything.
She almost snorted out loud when she saw him being reluctant to hit the bag, it wasn't like the bag was going to bruise or cry out in pain or anything like that, who knew Michael was such a softie?
Of course, she could be wrong, but this seemed to be the only logical explanation to Michael's weak attempts at punching. He wasn't reluctant to kick though, however, the leg is stronger than the fist.
Finding out that Michael wasn't good at punching because he was, in a way, afraid, Seemed like an amazing discovery to her. It made her think that there might be a chance that if she managed to get Michael to release this fear, his punching skills would improve. But, the only way to do that was to get him infuriated, and she had no idea how to do that.
They say that man gets blinded by his anger, Gina was out to test that theory, and she was pretty sure it also works. She has seen it happening many times.
But the thing was that she had no idea what could cause him to go angry. That was a major downer to her plan; she could ask someone though, but who would even know of such a thing? She had seen Michael frustrated quite a few times but never really angry.
She sighed, maybe someone does know about the information that she seeks, she just had to try. She stood up from her bed and nodded in determination, she had a few people in mind and she’ll go and inquire them, right now. Maybe, just maybe, she’ll get lucky.

“Hey Evelyn!” Gina chirped, causing her to yelp and almost drop the bowl of batter she had in her hands to fall on the floor.
Evelyn spun around, her heart pounding as she stared at Gina wide-eyed. One hand holding the bowl and the other clutching her chest, “Oh my God, Gina, do you want to send me to an early grave?”
She rolled her eyes at her, “Stop being so melodramatic all the time, Eve. I just said, ‘hi’ and you nearly fainted.”
“You snuck up on me!”
“No, I didn’t, I’m sure you would’ve heard my footsteps.”
“Well, I…” She was at a loss for words, it was true, she should’ve heard Gina’s footsteps approaching but she was currently preoccupied by her thoughts to notice what was happening around her, but of course, she wouldn’t let Gina know that.
“Yeah, you’re just lost in your own little world to acknowledge the existence of those around you.”
Evelyn smiled at Gina’s words, and turned around to mix the batter in the bowl. She laughed lightly, “Okay, Gina. I get it. But I’m sure you’re here for a reason, let’s hear it.”
She gasped dramatically, feigning hurt. “That hurt, Eve. Can’t I just come to you for a little girl to girl moment? I’m upset that you think so lowly of me.”
This time, she actually laughed, “A girl to girl moment, really Gina? You are anything but girl material, seriously, I remember the time Mrs. Travis made you wore that green dress and your face,” She let out another laugh, “Your face was worth taking pictures, you looked completely disgusted.”
