Protecting Mr. Wimp
Chapter 10
She sighed, sitting on the log and staring at the fire. Michael hadn't spoken to her since their little banter and she hadn't received any calls from his parents. They have been staying in the woods for about three days and Gina can't stand it anymore, Michael can't either but she won't know since he's on mute.
Gina glanced at Michael, and he's just laying on the ground, staring at the sky. She stood up, dusting off her jeans, she walked over to him and nudged him with her foot, "What?" He snapped at her, not sparing her a glance.
She rolled her eyes at his snappy tone, "I'm going to get food, do you want anything?"
He scowled at the sky and replied, "No thanks."
She shrugged, "'kay, I'll be back in a minute." And, started walking into the dark woods.
"I hope you get lost in the woods." He muttered under his breath thinking that she wouldn't hear but she did.
She rolled her eyes, ignoring his statement and walked away further into the forest.

It seemed like she had been walking for hours, but there was no sign of food to take back to their campsite. She pulled her jacket closer around her and kept walking, hoping to find something to hunt down.
Thinking back to the conversation with her sister, she grimaced slighly. It hadn't ended well for her. There's nothing she wanted more than to have her little sister in her arms, she misses her dearly. But she needed money, just for her sister and Michael was the only one that could provide her that little thing.
It made her wonder why he had gone so mad, why did he just went off like that? The only relation they have is of a protector and its client. What else? Did he think that Gina had became his best friend or something...? If that's so, then he better get that idea out of his head, 'cause it won't end better for either of them.
The rustling of leaves made her snap out of her thoughts. She surveyed the area with her eyes when they landed on a rabbit. "Sorry, little guy." She said, getting ready to kill it.

Gina was back, she had eaten and now Michael was regretting telling Gina to not bring him anything. He's straving now! And Gina's asleep. Great, couldn't this situation get any worse?!
As if on cue, it started raining.
"What am I being punished for?!" Michael shouted, looking at the sky.
"Shut up, Travis. It's too early for you to be annoying." Gina groaned, turning away from him.
He gaped at her, why isn't she bothered by the rain?! He scowled, remembering he was mad at her than shouted even louder, "It's raining, idiot!"
Gina screamed and shot up, "Why didn't you tell me this before?!" Intead of answering, he rolled his eyes at her. She quickly picked up her bag, that was now drenched, "Hurry up, Travis. We've got to find shetler!" She started running towards a random direction.
He cocked an eyebrow at her direction and rolled his eyes. He slung his back-pack over his shoulder and casually followed her, not bothering to hurry.
She glanced over her shoulder to see if he was following and saw that he was really far away from her. She stopped in her tracks and glared at him, now fully turned. "Hurry up, Travis! What're you doing!?" She shouted at him.
He didn't answer, he just kept walking. Only this time, he started walking slower.
Gina gritted her teeth and clenched her fists, knowing that he was doing this on purpose. She closed her eyes and counted to ten, trying to control her anger. After that, she took a few deep breaths and opened her eyes. Michael stood in front of her and her anger came back.
