Protecting Mr. Wimp

Chapter 20

Gina chased Tessa throughout the mansion, her right hand balled into a fist as she gritted her teeth and chased after the little trouble-maker but not before she rubbed off the horrid mustache, making the area under her nose bright red and sore.

She groaned as she realized that she's much slower than the devil, while Tessa was faster than light, she was as slow as a turtle. However, no matter how slow Gina was, she didn't let Tessa out of her sight, but that was before she yanked open a door and disappeared behind it.

Gina scowled and tried to run faster, guessing that the room Tessa went in must be hers she angrily yanked open the door only to find herself face-to-face with Logan.

She stared at him for a moment confused, what was he doing in Tessa's room? Or, what was Tessa doing in his room? Deciding that it was a thing to ponder about later, she scowled at him and tried to side-step him inside the room, but Logan moved to the right, blocking her path. Glaring at him, she moved to the left, only to get her path blocked by Logan again, who was looking like he saw a hundred ghosts under his bed.

Noticing that Logan was trying to protect the devil, she glowered at him, "Step aside, Logan."

He shakily shook his head, "I-I'm sorry, G-Gina, but I c-can't."

"Why not?" She snapped.

"B-Because I-I have to protect her."

She made a face a him, "No, you don't. Now, step aside or there will be consequences."

"Yes, I do! She's my sister, I know she's a pain but still my sister. You can't hurt little girls! That's just cruel Gina!"

"Listen up, Logan, we could do this the easy way or... wait, what? sister?!" She looked at him incredulously.

Logan shrugged, "Yeah, I mean, why'd you think I was protecting her?"

"But you, and she, and her, and... what...?" Gina was completely and utterly lost as she stared at Logan with wide-eyes. Sister? Tessa was Logan's sister? Logan had a sister? Wait... Logan had a sister, then that means that call meant...

Her eyes widened as she asked, "Wait, you guys are afraid of Tessa?"

Logan nodded and exclaimed,"That girl's everyone's nightmare!"

She gave him a flat look, "Nightmare? Seriously?"

He nodded vigorously, "Yes, with Tessa, you never know what's going to happen to you. I've almost spent three days without any sleep because I thought she was out to get me. Some people might be afraid that there's a monster under their bed, but I was afraid there was a Tessa under my bed."

"Why would she do anything to you?"

"Are you kidding? The kid torture's people just for fun! And since I'm living with her, I have to have a trip at the hospital each week."

She snorted, "Now you're just exaggerating."

As soon as she said that, Michael's scream was heard from downstairs.

Logan raised his eyebrows, "And I'm exaggerating. Come on and I'll show you what I mean."

Logan started to head down the stairs and Gina followed, still thinking that Logan was exaggerating. Even after what Tessa did to her, she still thinks that the girl is harmless. Although, it infuriated her when she saw what Tessa had done, but the anger for her  was temporary because now she's sure it was gone. She realized that she really can't hurt the poor girl, it wasn't her fault that she was just trying to have fun. Tessa didn't mean to do it, little kid's just like to play with new people right? Yeah, well maybe. Besides, little kid's were her soft spot, even if she wouldn't ever admit it to anyone.
