Protecting Mr. Wimp

Chapter 5

"Okay, I admit. The rabbit food was good."

Gina shot a glare at Michael. The drive back to their hotel seemed like it would never come to an end. She had already admitted that she liked the 'blob of grease' but Michael was being so smug about it all, like he already knew that she was going to love it. She wanted so bad to punch the hell out of him but sadly, she couldn't. Mr. Travis's instructions had clearly stated that his son should return to him un-scathed. Otherwise, she would've become a murderer and Michael would've been found dead in the back of her truck with multiple bruises and gun-shots all over his body. Isn’t that a bit too much? Yes, it is, but driving in a truck with him on the passenger seat does that to a person.

"Aw, come on Gina, enough with the glares already!"

Another glare

"So, you're not going to stop the glares?"

She shook her head furiously, still glaring at him.

"Okay, then."

He decided to stop pestering her, since she looked like she was about to become a serial killer on rampage. He's quite sure he doesn't want to see that, although she can't harm him.

The thought of having the upper hand made him smile in satisfaction. Gina is his body guard but she can't even hurt a fly!

He snorted a short laugh. Obviously, she must be here to entertain him, so he could keep his mind off the life-threatening situation at hand. His parents always wanted him to be happy and carefree, that's why they hired Gina. They just told him she was his bodyguard so he would think he's safe.

He sighed and shook his head, a smile on his face. His parents are un-believable.

"Did you forget to take your pills today, Travis?" Gina inquired.

"What pills?" He looked at her, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Your mental health pills"

"What?" His face contorted into confusion, what was she talking about? Then, realization dawn on him "I'm not mad!"

"Right," She snorted, "You've been changing your expressions every five minutes, that's the kind of thing a person with the lack of sanity would do." She smirked at him, enjoying his annoyed expression. This wouldn’t have happened if he hadn’t annoyed her before.

He rolled his eyes at her, "Having someone like you by the side, a person is likely to loose his sanity and unfortunately, I've been targeted as your newest victim."

"The only thing you've been targeted as is the victim of brutal murder." She shot back and glared at him.

Michael looked a bit taken aback by her threat but quickly regained his composure. 'No need to be afraid of her, she's just a girl' He reminded himself, but kept quiet. 'No need to make her mad, either' He thought.

She glanced at him, he looked a bit frightened. She smiled in satisfaction, taking her attention back on the road. He's actually full of himself, that's what his problem is. He thinks that other people can't do anything better than him, but she is going to prove him wrong.

She pulled up in front of the hotel and jumped out of the truck. Michael was still silent, not that she was complaining. She made her way to the elevator and pressed the button for the fourth floor after he came inside as well. The elevator opened with a 'ding' and they both got outside, she walked over to the door, pulled out the keys from her pocket, jamming the keys into the lock, she unlocked the door and they both stepped inside their room. She tossed her jacket on the bed and headed for the bathroom.
