Chapter 12-

"I'm so glad you decided to join!" Grace Serbert clapped her hands together in joy as she jumped up from the church's seat.

I gave her a small wave as about thirty kids around six years old turned to me curiously.

Today Grace is wearing a simple purple dress, and her hair is pulled back into a messy bun. I'm surprised she could wear a dress in this weather since it's the first day of November and the degrees is just dropping.

Ever since London told me about her pregnancy, I couldn't focus on anything. I decided to take a week off working at Starbucks just to straighten out my thoughts with her after school when we got home from school.

I didn't want her to abort the baby but at the same time, if I was in her position, I might have.

It is my fault.

I should have tried harder to stop her from going to all those parties. After she told me, everything was a blur. I remembered telling her to not worry, to go to school, and to talk to the guy that got her pregnant. I told her to try and work things out. I hoped he'll be mature and help take care of the baby if London wanted to keep the baby and be responsible for his actions.

"Oh my, Reina, look who came to join us."

I turned to see Christian coming in, waving at me from the front. He is dressed warmly and is carrying his backpack. He must have come here straight after school since it is Friday and it was his mom's turn to have him for the weekend.

"Hey Reina. You decided to take up on my mom's offer to become her slave?" He joked playfully.

"Yeah I can't wait," I forced out a chuckle to make it seem as if I'm fine even though I was stressing about what to do about London and not to mention the fact that I would be meeting Calvin's sister, Becca tomorrow.

I set down my bag onto one of the benches before going over to where Grace is.

"Okay guys! This is my friend, Reina. Say hi."

The children looked at me and some gave me a hi. Some even give me a smile and waved. I smiled back at them awkwardly, not knowing what to do.

I'm not good with kids.

Heck, I'm not even good with people.

"Reina here is going to be working with us for now on so be nice to her. Now why don't we do a little warm up and show Reina what talent you guys have," Grace said looking at me happily.

She really is proud of them. They all nodded in agreement and make a circle around the organ while Chris took a seat beside me.

"Do you come here a lot?" I asked as they start to do some vocal exercises.

"Not really. I wasn't even going to come today, but I decided to since I have a little homework. I'm glad I did since you're here," I said.

The only reason why I came here was because today was the day that London was going to muster up the courage to tell the guy that she is pregnant with his child. She told me she was going to come home late so I decided to distract myself by going to church.

There was a moment of silence as Chris looked around as if searching for something or someone.

"Is Calvin with you by any chance?" He finally asked.

I shook my head.

Why does he always asked about him?

What went on between them?
