Jake and I went out for a boys night with Kat's guy friends.. Tony excused himself from our table, once his phone rang.
"Seems serious.." Jake says, patting me on the chest.
"Yeah, hopefully everything's okay" I reply.
Dylan says "It's Jade calling him."
"Cool. Jade is which one?" Jake asks.
"She's the one who gives off "kawaii" vibes" Dylan answers his question, while taking a sip of his drink.
"Ahh, nice." Jake responds afterwards.
I ordered another round of wings and fries when the waitress had appeared by our table. She nodded and left.
About ten minutes later...Tony came back to our table, very excited.
"What's up? What did Jade need?' Dylan asks, breaking the silence.
"She said that she likes me, but more than a friend." Tony confesses.
"Dude, that's awesome. Please tell me that you told her the same thing..." Dylan says.. meanwhile Jake and I just looked at them..
"Yeah, of course l confessed to my feelings as well." He says nonchalantly.
"Ayyyeee, good." Jake jumps in.
Tony fist bumps him.
"So, Dylan, what about you? Any lucky gal?" Jake asks, suddenly my phone rang, I looked at the caller I.D. Blayne
"Excuse me.." I say, getting up from the table and stepping outside the bar.
"Hello." ~Eli
"Hello Eli.. I assume you know why I'm calling right?" ~Blayne (Manny's second in command)
"Yes.. when?" ~Eli
"Couple of months.. I'll call you 2 days before to confirm the date of your departure.. alright?" ~Blayne
"Sounds good. Thanks." ~Eli
"No problem"~ Blayne.
He's the first one to hang up. I put my phone in my pocket, looking up at the sky.. sighing..
What am I going to do?
I returned back to the table.. I gave the look to Jake.. he immediately knows what it means.
Tony and Dylan still chatting up a storm.. Jake asks quietly "So, when's the departure?"
"Don't know.. couple of months.. didn't expect it to be soo soon.. you know?" I admit it honestly.
"I know.. It's a rough job being the "President's First in Command"..
"Yes it is.. considering the fact he's also my Godfather." I tell him.
Jake nods.. he is my best friend, so of course he knows I'm part of a motorcycle club.. my parents too.. mom wasn't very fond of it at first, but eventually she came around.. considering the fact that my dad was in the club too, but retired shortly after he got a great job...
For the night, we ate, drank, played pool, watched basketball..
Katrina
After a peaceful little walk and yummy ice cream, I headed on home. Walking through the gated community, kids outside playing, riding their bikes, drawing with chalk.. now that's a childhood, a proper one to experience. I sigh happily before stepping inside.
"Mom, dad, I am home." I announced as I took off my shoes.
Mom rounds the corner, dressed in an evening floral dress.
"Hello dear, your dad and I have a company dinner party to attend too with the Savage family. You'll be okay on your own?" Mom asks me.
"Of course. You look very lovely." I say, making her smile.
"Indeed she does." My dad says.. just then the doorbell rings, I open it, revealing Elijah's parents.
"Good evening, you two look very nice." I greet them.
"Thank you dear." Carrie says.
With that, the pair of parents are off to the party. I locked the door and headed on upstairs to shower..
After my shower, I put on some shorts and a tshirt, with knee high socks,, I grabbed my laptop and went on downstairs.
I grabbed some snacks plus drinks, while setting up for a movie night. I settled on the sofa with the throw blanket on my legs, popcorn bowl in the middle, I hit play and relaxed..
