I spotted Sammy coming out of gate 5.

"There he is!" I exclaimed, jumping out of my seat. I waved my hands in the air to catch his attention, he looked so lost. I get that feeling, since a couple of months ago, I was in his position. It's been 3 and half months, since I've come to live with my aunt.

"Sammy, over here." I yell out, that seemed to grab his attention, he smiles shyly and makes his way here.

"Hi Julie, hi Kat." Sammy says.

"Hi my boy, how are you?" My aunt asks him, after hugging him.

"Good." He replies and turns to me. "You look different."

I laugh and pull him into a hug. "Hahah, thanks kid, you don't look bad yourself."

We pull away from the hug, I grabbed his suitcase and began walking away.

"Alright Sammy, let's go. Are you hungry?" I hear my aunt laugh, I shake my head off, as I stifle a chuckle.

Classic aunt..

"No, I'm okay." He replies. We made our way to the car, putting his stuff away as he got in the back seat. I took my seat in the passenger after asking him if he'd prefer to sit in the front. He said he was good and would rather sit in the back seat. I nodded. My aunt buckled herself and with that we were off to the house.

"Get comfortable kids, we've got a journey ahead." My aunt says, making me look up in front of me.

"Just great, more traffic." I groan out. I look at Sammy in the rearview mirror, his eyebrow raised in question. "There was traffic when we were coming to the airport." I explained shortly.

"Oh. Okay." He replies. "Music anyone?"

I agreed, passing him the AUX cord, he thanks me silently. He plugs it into his phone and pressed the first song. I relaxed into my seat, when my phone went off.

Checking the caller I.D. I answer.

Hello? ~Kat

Hello Katrina, it's so nice to hear your voice. ~??

Um, who exactly is this? ~Kat

My oh my, you've forgotten my voice already, hmm, that's a shame. Well, if you must know, it's Adam. ~Adam

Adam.. as in my ex, how'd you get my number? ~Kat

Simple, I asked Tony, and he gave it. ~Adam

I'm going to kill him... what do you want? What's the reason you're calling me? ~Kat

Well, you see, I'd love to see you and maybe go to dinner.~Adam

Yeah, no thanks. Besides, I've got a boyfriend and plus, I'm not interested in you anymore. So, kindly lose my number and ohhh, fuck off. ~Kat

I hung up the call and pressed block. I placed the phone in the cup holder.

"Who was that?" Sammy asked me.

"Just an old ex boyfriend from high school. Annoying prick." I answer honestly, making him chuckle.

"Ah, cool. Lol, so who's your boyfriend now?" He asks.

"You don't know?" Julie jumps in.

"No." He says.

"It's Elijah." Julie answers before I could.

"Hey!!" I say. Making us all laugh.

"Wait, the Prez's Godson is your boyfriend?" Sammy asks.

"Yes!! What, is that so hard to believe?" I ask.

"Kinda.. I mean, because you both are quite the opposite, but hey, they attract." He says.

"Gee, thanks." I say.. but then we burst into laughter.. looks like we'll be here for a while, might as well have fun...
