Chapter 41

Narrator's POV

The next day, Elijah had set off in search of the perfect ring for the love of his life. The families and their friends have been enjoying their time here, getting used to this type of lifestyle.

Elijah had gone into a couple of jewelry stores, when he finally had found the right ring that will be perfect for Katrina. He as well went on a search for a house. Since, once the baby comes and once they're married they will need their own place. He made sure to find one near Pops or Aunt Julie's house, that way Katrina would have her family close to her, especially when the little one arrives.

After the day he has had, Elijah made his way to the club where he saw his beautiful girlfriend soon-to-be fiance sitting with the girls.

Katrina woke up early to find Eli gone. She thought nothing of it as she got out of bed. Her bump showing. Today she chose another maternity maxi dress, light and comfortable for the Arizona heat. Her hair done up in a low bun to avoid heat rashes on the back of her neck, grabbing the things she needs, she went on out.

Once she made her way to the club and inside her friends couldn't stop feeling her belly, of course she didn't mind at all. Elijah eventually showed up, they all gathered and had a lovely lunch filled with laughter.

A couple of days had passed since her birthday, the pregnancy and gender reveal news, her family and friends have made their ways back home, promising to return soon. Especially, both sides of the family.

Elijah and Katrina in the meantime have set off in search of their own place. They can't exactly leave with Aunt Julie or at Manny's once the baby comes.

Katrina

"Well I didn't like that one" I announced once I sat in the car.

"Yes same. A lot of work to be completed and it's not close to any of the houses or the club." He tells me.

I sigh, he grabs my hand, I look at him.

"Don't worry we will find the perfect one for us."

I nodded and we set off again to the next house.

Our days was spent looking at house. It was already nearly 9pm when we finally found the perfect modern house. 2 floors, 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms with a beautiful yard, pool and patio. Open concept kitchen, dining room, plus living room and a basement. It is also gated for additional security, which I know Elijah appreciates a lot!

We stood in the hallway with the realtor.
"So?" The realtor says.

"We're going to take it. It's absolutely perfect." I announced full of joy.

"Congratulations, I'll send the papers to you via email, sign it and send it over. Here are the keys." The realtor says.  Elijah thanks him, as well as myself, with goodbyes being said, we made our way home. Manny and Paige will be joining us for dinner, perfect timing to have them all together in one room so we can tell them.

"We're home" I said.

"Just in time. Welcome. Come have a seat, dinner will be done in 5." Aunt Julie says. I waddled over to the chair, Paige helping me sit down, although I can get down no problem, she insisted. I happily accepted.

Dinner was served shortly, we ate and talked. Finally, once dessert has been served, Elijah and I took the opportunity to tell them the news. They took it well, in my opinion. Paige and Julie already anxious to see the house. We made sure to choose the house that is close to their houses as well as the club.

We already began discussing the baby's room, color and things like that...
