Few weeks later..
I grabbed my suitcase, hauling it downstairs, Sammy and aunt Julie standing by the door with Elijah.
"You have everything, correct?" My aunt asks, coming over to me.
"Yes, everything. I'll be back, before you know it." I tell her.
"You better." She threatens, making me chuckle. We hug.
"Be safe, I love you. Call me once you land."
"Will do. Love you too." I say, turning to Sammy.
"Take care of her. Be good." I tell him, before I pulled him into a hug.
"Okay, I promise." He says.
With final byes said, we left. Sitting in the passenger seat, buckled up, Eli placing the suitcase in the trunk. He got in, and soon enough we're pulling away out of the driveway and driving off.
"They will freak out for sure, when we walk in together." I say, breaking the silence.
"Yeah, they will." He replies.
We arrived at the airport shortly, no traffic luckily. We checked in our luggages, got to our gate, and shortly, we boarded the plane.
In about 20 minutes, we were getting ready to take off.
"You ready?" I ask Elijah.
"Yes, you?"
"Yep. This will be our first trip together." I say.
"Yes it will be. I know our families will be glad we're home." He says.
"Yup. We'll surprise them." I suggest.
"Sounds good with me." After he said that, the flight attendant told us to buckle ourselves, then the captain said we're ready for takeoff.
We interlock our hands, it's a bumpy ride, soon enough, we feel the plane going up.
Elijah looks at me, I look at him, smiling.
"I love you" he says.
"I love you too."
10 minutes into flying, the seat belt off lights come on.
We unbuckled ourselves, no turbulence, the town/city not visible anymore. Flight attendants walking around making sure everything is in its place. They tell us lunch will be served in an hour and a half.
Luckily for me, I brought snacks to keep us satisfied until then. Elijah chose a movie for us, we each using one earphone. Relaxed into the seat, eyes focused on the movie, hands interlocked..
This trip is going to be awesome. Especially since I've got my boyfriend with me. Cannot wait for the others' reactions. I have not told them the whole time I've been here about our reunion.. nervous, yet excited..
