Elijah

The next morning, I tried to sneak out before Jules got up, hence tried..

When I came downstairs, she was already awake and drinking coffee. I froze, unsure of what to say.

"Um..morning" I say.

"Mhmh.. morning." She replies.

As I opened my mouth to explain, she raised her hand.
"Whatever it may be, no worries. I ain't going to kill you for spending the night here. Besides I'm a cool person. You out of all people should know this."

"Oh, uh yeah. Of course. Well then, glad that's cleared. Anywho, I've gotta get going, could you let Kat know that I was called into work and that I'll see her later?" I ask.

"Yea, sure." She says. I nodded at her and headed on out.

"Thanks, see you." I say walking out the door, towards my bike.

I got on it and drove off.

Katrina

I woke up to an empty bed, hmm.. discarding any thoughts or assumptions, I got up and went to take a shower. I grabbed clothes and headed inside the bathroom. Taking a look at myself, I smile, because I really love my new look, I took off my clothes and got in.

After a refreshing shower, I dressed in black biker shorts and plaid shirt. I headed on downstairs to get some food.

"Morning aunty. How'd you sleep?" I ask cheerfully.

"Good morning, good. How about you?"

"Good good." I say taking a look around.. hoping she doesn't notice. Unfortunately she does.

"Looking for lover boy? He left for work. Don't worry, I'm not your father to scold you. Besides, I understand young love." She says.

"Mm, thanks."

"So you guys are back together? Cause last time, I heard was that he left." My aunt asks looking at me.

"We never broke up.. so yeah we're still together."

"That's good, anyways, I'm off today, so shall we do something fun?" She asks smiling. I grin widely.

"Yes!!! Oh my God yes, we haven't had any girl days out." I respond. She smiles.

"Alright, let's go. Grab your shoes." I nodded and ran to grab shoes plus my phone and left.

We got in her car and started our little journey..

~2 weeks later.~

It's been about 2 weeks since I've moved to Arizona. I've settled in nicely, throughout my short time, I've kept in contact with my friends back home in Boston, Massachusetts, as well as with my parents. Even though they're away for the business conference with Elijah's parents. They were really surprised when we Zoom called them and we were together. Just thinking about it, brings a smile to my face.

~Flashback~

Elijah and I sat down at the table, my laptop ready. Both pairs of parents don't know that we're together at last. I looked at Eli.

"Ready?" I ask. He nods.

I press the call button, soon enough, our families pick up, Elijah is hiding to the side.

"Hello mom, dad, Carrie and John. How are you?" I greet them.

"Oh, wow. Love the look. We're doing all good. How about you? How are you liking Arizona?" Mom and Carrie ask.

"I like it a lot. I enjoy the change of scenery. How's the conference?"

"It's busy that's for sure." My father replies.

"Is my sister treating you well?" Mom asks.

I laugh, "she has been nothing, but lovely. You don't have to worry about her." I reply. Looking sideways at Elijah.

"So, other than your new look, what else is new?" Mom and Carrie ask.

"Oh, I met someone." I say. Their eyes widen.

"Ahh, who??? Is he handsome? Cute?" The moms ask.

"Yes, he is the most handsomest person ever. In fact, would you like to meet him?" I ask.

"He's there with you?" My dad asks. I nod.

"Yes! Say hello to my boyfriend." I say, pulling Elijah towards me.

"Hello everyone." He says, waving at the camera.

They screamed! Literally..

"Oh my baby boy. OH MY GOD. You two are together again!! Especially after so many years.!! How??" Our moms ask us.

"Haha, yeah. It was a shock to the both of us. Except, it was quite an unusual reunion, that's for sure." Eli says, chuckling.

"Unusual, how?" His dad asks. Eli turns to me and gestures for me to explain. I sigh.

"I...uh...may have punched him in the face." I blurt out rather quickly.

"Atta girl." My dad says, earning a light slap on the arm by mom.

"What??!!" He says. Eli and I laugh.

"So yeah, that's why the reunion was unusual. I mean what can you expect. He left for a long time, so the last place I'd ever expect to see him was here. But, other than we're doing good." I say, smiling and holding his hand.

"Aw, I'm glad." They all say.

We talked for a bit more, until they had to leave for the dinner meetings. We bid our byes and ended the call.

Eli and I looked at each other, we bursted out laughing.

"Great surprise" he says, pecking me on the lips.

"Indeed" I returned the kiss.

~Flashback end~

I heard my name being called.

"Coming!" I yelled, getting off my bed and heading downstairs for dinner.

Taking a seat at the table, Jules sets the macaroni and cheese dish.

"Smells good." I say.

"I bet. Everything okay? I called about 2 times, before finally getting a response back." She asks me as she takes her seat across from me.

"Uh, yeah, was just remembering the Zoom call and how we surprised everyone." I reply.

"Ah okay. Well, dig in." She says and that's exactly what I did.

After dinner, I cleared the table, telling her to go and get ready for bed, since she is working tomorrow. She kissed my cheek and went to bed.

I cleaned the kitchen, once I was done, I went to my room and ended up watching a show "Alice In Borderland" on Netflix. Finding the character "Niragi Suguru" attractive. Of course, I wouldn't say that to Eli, as he can get protective over me. I settled in, pressing play on the next episode.

((Hope y'all liked it. Also, I've watched the show. I love the actor who plays Niragi. Ahh, I would recommend watching the Japanese show. Anywho, see you in the next one))
