I stopped the man who I saw. He had intense sorrow in his heart, and I felt a weight press on my heart, thinking about him. Something in his past had greatly weakened him, but he rose through the challenge, which was admirable.

How much in his past, we could trust him. His skin looked faintly luminous, but that could have been a trick of the light.

"Avatars," he said, in a bored monotone. "Would you like to join our army?" I asked casually, like a recruiter. He didn't look remotely abashed, and said without hesitation, "I will. But first you need to understand who I am, to increase your chances of winning."

He led us to a dark alley, which was kinda stupid, since there were seven of us, but nobody seemed to notice our disappearance.

He threw off the cloak he was wearing, and it revealed a handsome, pale face, shaped round like the moon. He had dark hair, dark eyes, and red lips.

"I AM CHANDRA, THE MOON GOD." he boomed.

Suddenly all the puzzle pieces fitted together. I didn't feel too sorry for him now. The thing that had weakened him was his own father-in-law. Chandra had twenty-seven wives, all sisters. He didn't show love for all of them. He only showed affection for one of his wives, Rohini. His other wives complained to their dad, Daksha, so he cursed Chandra, saying that he would be weakest on the new moon night. Chandra fled to Lord Shiva, who modified his curse a little, so now the moon had its phases.

But still, he deserved that punishment. I snapped my fingers. Something had come to me. "On the day we plan to attack, could you, like, disappear?" "Yes I can." he said in the same bored monotone.

"But why?"  Sid asked. "On solar eclipses, the Celestial World is at its weakest. The sun and the moon, protectors of the Worlds, cannot be seen at the time. During the few minutes of a solar eclipse, we can sneak in an army, like Duryodhana had." I explained. "We just need to position our soldiers at the right time, and then, when Chandra disappears, we need to sneak in." I explained, "Also, by any chance, do you have an arsenal in place?" I tried.

He bowed low, and said, "At your service."
