Robert Sullivan had found his happiness, everything about this women made him smile.
He married his wife three years ago now and in a few days, their little boy will be born.
Robert couldn't wait, he always wanted to have a couple of children.
Robert wife; "Robert my waters have just broken"
Robert darts up from his lying position in bed.
Robert; alright I guess it's time then.
He helps his wife to the car, making sure he had their bags in the car.
Robert," That's it, baby, you're doing good", Robert told his wife.
Roberts wife; "It hurts so much please, I can't push anymore. "Robert wife tried to tell them she was in pain but the midwife was putting her pain down being in labour.
"One more push and your baby will be here," the midwife told her.
She pushed again, which the babies head began to slowly come out, the midwife wasn't looking happy as to how much blood the women were losing.
Roberts wife," It hurt", she kept saying then her heart rate began to drop fast till there was no heartbeat. The midwife had to call for help as the baby was still half in her. With another two doctors, they pushed down on her belly to help the baby come out.
Robert began to panic, he was scared that he was going to lose her and the baby
Robert;" please save them", as tears began to fall down his face
They put the baby boy on oxygen and rushed the new mother to the theatre. The surgeon tried to save her but she just kept bleeding out then she coded and they tried but they couldn't get her heart to start beating again.
Two hours later
Time of death 6.35 am
Dr Bailey; "I'm sorry Mr Sullivan there were complications and your wife didn't make it" we did manage to save your baby boy.
Robert; no please this can't be happening, Robert began to break down. He didn't know how he was going to bring their baby up on his own.
What did she die off as her pregnancy was smooth? Robert didn't know that his wife had preeclampsia and she wasn't getting treatment for it.
The word son brought him back, he forgot his son. he's a father, he has a son and he has to do it all on his own without his wife.
Robert; h-- how is he doing
Dr grey; He's tiny but doing great. When you're ready he'll be in the nursery.
A little while later once Robert had calmed down He went to visit his newborn son in the nursery.
It took Robert a while to go and see his son, he shouldn't but he blaming the baby for his wife death. It took Robert a few days to go and see his son.
He held him, he fed him and changed him as he sat in a rocking chair the newborn fell asleep in his arms.
All Robert could think about was how he was going to do all this on his own without his wife. He had a job to do as well as be a full-time dad.
Dr Arizona robins, your son is perfectly fine when your ready you'll be able to take him home.
Robert; " thank you for everything you have done for me and my baby boy".
His team from station 19 all came to see how he was, tell him they were sorry about his wife, their team member. Team 19 were devastated about losing a member of their team.
A close friend, a sister they had lost her as well and they couldn't believe it. The station was going to be quiet without her.
Week later
Ben, "Are you ready", Ben asked as he took Alexandra and put him in his car seat. Ben Warren was a very close friend with Robert and his family, he stayed with Robert for a few weeks to help with the newborn
Robert was angry with himself and everyone around him, he tried pushing everyone away but they knew he was grieving and he didn't mean it. They gave him space letting him know if he needs them there was just a phone call away
Robert missed his wife, he hates doing this all on his own. He wanted her back in his arms. He was starting to remember there last time they spent together.

Weeks went by and Robert had baby Alex in a routine, he would take him to the station when he had work which he was a good baby he slept well throughout the day, he just has issues of not liking to sleep at nights so Robert could do the paperwork.
When there was a call out Robert left the baby with Ben as he offered to stay with him.
The sleepless nights we're getting to Robert he felt like a zombie. baby Alex is now 3 weeks old q. The baby was in so much pain with them, it was a good job he has the next few days off.
Robert had a special bond with his son, which he was grateful for, he loved the little boy so much. As Alex started to grow everywhere had to be baby proved, he then needed a sitter.
But look up for good nanny's to look after his boy and when his next day off he'll interview them one at a time.
He needed someone that would put all their time and effort into looking after Alex.
