It is Andy's 12-week scan in the morning she was nervous she hadn't told Robert this but she's been having these horrible dreams that something might be wrong with their unborn baby. But she wasn't just dreaming about the unborn child she was having bad dreams of Alex.
The dreams she has been about Alex having a bad accident and because she wasn't his illegal guardian she has to wait in the waiting room hearing Alex crying loud hurt her.
For the past few weeks that been happening Robert knew something was wrong, he'd wake to andy not being by his side in bed. One night as he fell asleep she got up and went to lay on the couch but Robert wasn't in a deep sleep so he felt her get up.
Robert; "why are you sleeping down here". He asked
Andy; "I just couldn't get comfortable in bed" she lied and he knew it.
Robert; "Come on come and try again."
Andy; "I'm fine you go back to bed", she said beginning to get annoyed.
She felt scared of telling him about these dreams, thinking he'd laugh.
The next morning again looking tired as ever she decides to sleep at her dad's so she can figure a way to knowing what these dreams meant.
He saw on the fridge the night before that it is their baby scan in the morning so he had time to take Alex to daycare and go to the hospital
Andy; "wait what are you doing here."
Robert; "it's my baby too but I can go if you want me to."He looked at her for a few seconds then went to walk away.
He felt like the situation with Claire all over again and Andy couldn't help but feel guilty.
Andy; "Robert waits, I'm sorry please stay". She said as she held out her hand for him to hold it.
Robert pulled her closer to him wrapping his arms around her
Robert; "I don't know what's happened or what's going on but I need you to tell me as I'm getting worried you don't want me being a part of the pregnancy."
Andy; "it's not true I want you here every step, I'm sorry for pushing you away," she said as a few tears drop landed on his shirt.
Robert; "what's happened have I done something wrong you barely picked Alex up to cuddle him."
She went to speak but Arizona robins called for them in.
Robins; "we have interned with us today would it be alright for them to scan you"
Andy nods
Sadie Harris scanned her first but she made andy more anxious as she couldn't hear the babies heartbeat
Andy; "what happened why can't I hear the heartbeat. I knew this would happen"
Arizona; "it's ok Andy I'm going to take over and have a look". She was mad at Sadie and all the other interns. She told them to go and find something else to do
Arizona did her check herself and within 2 minutes they could a healthy heartbeat
Arizona; "there you go, sorry for the scare thought they knew what they were doing."
I want to keep you in for a few hours just because your heart rate is a little high and you so is your blood pressure.
Again it scared Andy. "I— I can't," she said.
Robert; "yes you can and you will. It's a few hours that's all."
They moved to a quiet room and put on the monitor
