It's been 6 beautiful weeks of having their beautiful daughter in their arms. 6 beautiful weeks that Alex has got to know his baby sister.
So far Bella has become a daddy's girl she doesn't like sleeping in her crib she loves laying on daddy's chest. And Robert let her because it is the bond he has with her. The bond that he wanted with Alex right from the day he was born but the baby didn't want him and then he met Andy.
The soothing sound of Roberts's heart settle the baby quickly
Andy understood how he felt but it was going to be hard for her in the future to settle Bella when he goes back to work.
She stood in the doorway of the bedroom just watching Robert and Alex watch the baby sleep it's was the little thing like this that made her heart warm
Andy; How about I go back to work and you stay looking after her she said jokingly
Robert knew Andy was struggling a little to bond with Bella she stopped breastfeeding her but it wasn't her choice the baby wasn't gaining much weight and they both were struggling to adapt to it.
Robert; it'll do you both good if I'm not around a lot so you both can bond, so you can understand her needs without me or Alex being around.
Andy; I'm nervous about when that day comes what if she doesn't want me, what if I can't calm her down.
Robert; "you'll get there I promise and we still have a couple of weeks yet so why don't we try, little steps because I know you can do it. I know she'll settle if you give her time".
Robert passed the baby to Andy so that she could hold her, give her some cuddles. Bella was fine she didn't cry she just slept in her mother's arms.
Andy; "can I do her night feed when she wakes in the night. I know I was able to settle Alex that because he wanted me but I feel Bella doesn't want me."
The reason Andy is putting it down is the fact that for a day and a half after being born Andy and her daughter couldn't bond because of her trauma and in that time she was able to bond with Robert.
Robert smiled "yes if that's what you want. But do you want me to wake up with you?" He asked
Andy; "no If I need you then I'll wake you we both don't need to lose sleep do we."
Robert; "I don't care if I lose sleep as long as I get to see her little face, it beats having sleep."He said as he kissed his daughter on the forehead.
In a few days, Alex will be turning 1 year old a whole year of little Alex. How time has flown by. He's become a happy little boy that loves to test his parent's patients most of the time. The way his daddy tells him no so he goes straight to his mummy for cuddles or he'll stand there with a cheeky smile and carry on doing it until his mummy tells him no. Which upsets him.
Alex has become a confident boy he's taking a few steps on his own with no assistance but once he falls to the floor on his bottom that's it, he won't give it another thought about walking and crawls away.
He loves his cuddle with his mummy before going to sleep but has come to accept that a daddy cuddle is also better if mummy is busy trying to sort Bella.
Alex loves to watch Thomas the tank engine and has started to like the trains a lot more he now can say a lot of words mummy is a favourite word he goes around saying all the time even when he doesn't want his mommy and he's playing it'll be mummy, mummy it makes Andy laugh no and yes are his second favourite words which only uses a lot when being cheeky.
The less he's see of his mummy is a day when Alex will be a little terrier and such a grumpy boy.
His godmother Maya has finally come by a few more times to see him and she takes him to the park or a trip out. Which for his parent were happy because they felt like he was missing out when they had to stay with Bella
Andy and Robert decide to take him out to celebrate his birthday they couldn't decide where they had ideas of to the seaside to see some animals.
That night as planned Andy woke up with Bella she picked the baby up changed her and fed her. It was un-usually for mummy to do a night feed and Bella wasn't having any of it she missed her daddy. Robert showed Andy that the baby girl loves laying on his bare chest so Andy removed her dressing gown and laid her on her chest the first 20 minutes she still cried but Andy refused to give up she needed this.
She didn't get stressed with the baby she laid back on the pillow with her on her chest and eventually, Bella settled which for both was a success.
Robert woke and saw how beautiful the sight of mother and daughter laying next to him is and so he took a photo. Just as Andy drifted off to sleep she felt a kiss on her cheek
Robert; I knew you could do it again kissing her lips.
Andy; It only took me two hours she chuckled and she probably sense you were near
Robert; you need to stop being so negative and be proud that you settled your daughter. I understand to show your feeling but you ain't alone I'm here I'm willing to help. He told her.
She kissed him, he wanted so much to make love to her It has been 6 weeks that he couldn't sexually touch her and that night they managed to have sex without being disturbed
Robert; that was easier them the first time we had a baby. He laughed
Andy; baby Alex knew daddy was doing naughty things to his mummy and at the time didn't want to share mummy with anyone, not even with his daddy.
Robert; That's bloody true he said wrapping his arms around Andy
As they laid there Andy was thinking 29th January she said
Robert; what about the 29th January? Confused about what she was going on about.
Andy; That's the date I want to marry you on she said taking his big into her small hand.
He remembered that date what it meant
It was their first time admitting to each other that they were in love with each other. It was the day she went to the office and thought Ryan told Robert how she felt.
He smiled so two months then, I hope It comes around fast because I can't wait to marry you and for you to become my wife he said as they started round two of having sex
It was the night before Alex's birthday, they set everything out ready for him they brought him a train set with the little bit that Andy brought him a little while ago the pretend phone, remote control and keys so he didn't gave to play with his parents a lose them. They also brought him a little climbing frame and slide as he loves the ones at the park.
Balloons, cards and presents were already for their one-year-old in the morning. I can't believe he's one already Robert said.
Andy; I know and in three weeks it'll be a year that we've met each other.
Robert; two precious moments I'll treasure forever he said kissing her with all the love he had to offer. She lifted her leg letting him pick her up so she could wrap her legs around his raise as he took them both to bed
Alex; Mummy mummy the little boy shouts as he sits on a cot playing with his teddies
The feeling of this little shout shouting mommy never got old for Andy she loves him calling her his mummy.
Andy; good morning birthday boys as she went to get h out of the cot, happy birthday. The little boy didn't understand what she was going on about but he thought he'd smile and get excited anyway.
Andy took Alex into their room to wake Robert before going downstairs with Alex. She put him on their bed and Alex crawled over to his dad tapping him on the arm to wake him up Daddy he kept shouting daddy after a big shout of daddy in his ear Robert woke up which also woke Bella up as well but andy couldn't help but laugh.
Robert; good morning baby boy Robert said as he wrapped his arms around him kissing his son on the forehead happy birthday baby
Andy gave Bella her dummy back and she went back to sleep as she wasn't due for a feed yet after half-hour of playing and cuddling in bed they decide to go downstairs so they can let Alex open his presents
Alex loved his presents and the balloons they agreed to go to the seaside for a few days spend quality time together and make fresh new memories as a family of four.
