Now that Alex had mastered crawling there was no stopping him everywhere he shouldn't be he was there. And if his daddy said no for touching something he shouldn't he would laugh but if mummy told him no the lip dropped and he started to cry, which broke Andy's heart as she hated seeing him sad.
They decided it was time to baby-proof the house so they brought stair gates plug socket covers corner covers. They put breakable stuff high so he couldn't reach it and made sure he had lots of toys to keep him entertained
Andy laid on the couch with Robert next to her. He was rubbing Cocoa butter into her pregnancy stomach
As he rubbed the cream into her belly he started talking
Robert; "hello princess, daddy here telling you that I love you so much and I can't wait to meet you. Then he placed kisses all over her bump."
Andy would take a photo of Robert caressing her pregnancy belly then little Alex crawled up to the couch where his parents were. He was coping with his daddy as he moved his hand over her belly then Robert kissed her bump again and then Alex did the same. They both thought it was cute.
Robert; "that's your baby sister growing in mommies tummy". He said as Alex place his hand on andy belly again.
She took a photo of all three of their hands on her belly.
Andy; 0I would like all of our handprints on my stomach so I can put them in the baby book."
Robert; "well we could but some unless you want to go for a professional class to do it."
Andy; "whichever I'm not too fussed".
There was a knock at the door, they knew who it was and Robert wasn't looking forward to this he was still scared they would take him away from him, from Andy
Andy; "come on everything will be fine as she stood up taking Roberts hand. Like Vincent said they only want to meet Alex and get to know him."
They kissed and then went to the door together
And opened the door.
Andy; "hello come in, would you like a drink," she asked politely
They both said that they were fine and followed Robert into the lounge where they met their grandson who was sitting on the floor looking at them.
Vincent; "don't you think he looks like his dad," he said as he watched his wife get a little closer.
Denise; "he does, he has Claire's nose bless him."
Alex started to get a little scared wondering who these strange people are he got to his hands and knees and crawled to Andy. She picked him up and he buried his head in her neck.
Andy; "you're not gone shy have Alexander Sullivan have you"
Denise; "Alexander Sullivan his full name does have Claire's last name too". She asked Robert
Robert; "considering she didn't want him I only gave him my last name but recently double barrel it with Herrera which is Andy's last name."
Denise; "why would you do that, I mean all you know she could leave you tomorrow and break both of your hearts"
Andy; "that's not going to happen, I love Alex so much and I love Robert as well also I'm pregnant with his child"
Denise; "so when the baby is here he'll be pushed away. I tell you what go and pack his things we'll take with us, saves him getting pushed away."
Vincent; "calm down love you can see she loves him and he loves her and I believe her when she said that he won't get pushed away"
Robert; "he's my son and you are not taking him away from us and Claire never wanted him and Andy loves him and now I want you to leave"
Denise knew they were all right and she didn't know why she was acting as she did.
Denise; "I'm sorry I just feel like you won't let us see him grow up now you have Andy and a new baby on way."
Andy; "we told Vincent last night that you can come as see him when you're in the country and if you want to send gifts then we accept that you are still his grandparents and we won't stop you from being them. Alex can be shy around people he doesn't know but he'll get used see you both. Would you like to hold him?"
Denise; "yes, yes, please."
Andy held Alex out to Denise so she could hold him but as suspected he started to cry
Denise; "hello baby I'm your Grammy, yes I am
The baby still cried and held his arms out to Andy to take him
Thank you so much for this and I'm sorry again for being a selfish person, you both are doing a great job of being him up."
Vincent; "we can see Alex has a good bond with Andy and we are great full for her being his mummy that he needs thank you. If it's alright can you send us updated photos of him we would like to see him grow?"
Robert; "That's fine, me and Andy have put some photos together for you to have". He said handing a photo album to Denise.
They looked through the photo which brought tears to them both
Denise; "do you know the sex of the baby yet."She asked
Andy; "we having a girl a sister for Alex"
Denise; "aww that's lovely congratulations"
Andy and Robert thanked them. As they left Robert had a message from Pruitt telling him and andy to come to the station in half an hour but wouldn't say why.
Robert; "your dad asked us to go to the station but wouldn't say what for."
Andy; "do we all need to go or just you as I'm tired," she said as she began to yawn
Robert; "he wants us both but you could sleep in my bunk if I can sleep with you"
Andy; "mmm you'd like that wouldn't you, she said kissing him. Alright give me ten minutes can you get Alex ready, please".
Robert; "sure I will do."
Since knowing she was pregnant Andy regular took photos of her belly one just a few weeks pregnant which there wasn't a bump then at 15 weeks she took another photo which she had a little bump and now she taking one again at 24 weeks which she has a bigger bump but not too big.
At the station, Pruitt and the team set a baby shower for Robert and andy they got together with a few of Andy's co-workers to surprise them both.
Robert and andy were happy and grateful for setting the baby shower for them. They have played games and talked but andy was tired and just wanted to go home so after three hours of being there Robert took her and Alex home. Which was great timing as the team got called to a factory fire.
While Andy and Alex had a sleep Robert made them a special dinner just because he could and that he loves her so much.
A few hours later when andy woke she had a message to say she was had to go to work to finish some paperwork so she could go on maternity leave in the following weeks and to meet her replacement.
