Robert decides to update Alex's baby book, putting photos of him from when he was 3 months to 7 months. He couldn't believe he's 8 and half months now.
There were mainly photos of Alex and andy together smiling, Andy and Alex sleeping together on the couch.
Picking up some photos and a photo fell out of him and Claire, they were smiling it wasn't forced either the photo was taken at a friends bbq
He kept the photo in his hand looking at it when he fell asleep.
Andy wanted to come over early so they both could pick Alex up from daycare and take him to the park
She entered the lounge where she saw Robert asleep with the photo of him and Claire.
Why had he had the photo, did he miss her the thoughts were going running around in her mind that she didn't realise he had woke up
Andy; "sorry I was going to wake you up but then...
Is that you and Claire"
Robert; "Yes, it was taken at a friend bbq"
Andy; "you said you were miserable but you both look happy together"
Robert; "This was taken after a year of being together, we were happy, we were inseparable. We got married and then she fell pregnant."
"Everything began to change because I wanted Alex. I tried my best to do things for her but whatever I did she hate it, when we had the chance of sitting down together I want to caress her belly to have the experience of feeling him moving around and feeling him kick, but I wasn't allowed. She pushed me away"
Andy; "This is why you are so insecure when it comes to me and the baby."
Robert; "I'm worried that I'll get pushed away again, I'm worried that you won't allow me to caress your belly when I want to."
She listened to him, this journey is what she wants them to do together.
Andy; "I've already told you, Robert, I want you there for every little detail of this pregnancy. I've told you if you want to put your hands on my stomach then do it, doesn't matter the time or place you can do it. Baby ain't moving yet but again I've told I'll tell you she/he does."
Robert; "thank you", he said
Andy; "Tell me a bit about happy you and claire I've told you about me and Aidan the good and worse parts and all I've heard is the bad parts, Please tell me the good stuff between you both."
Robert; "she loved roller skating"
Andy; "roller skating?"
Robert; "there was this rink in Auburn where she loved to skate, so that's where we had our first date. I think I would've followed her anywhere but out on that rink I was ridiculous, limbs flying everywhere, bumping into walls"
They both chuckled
"She never laughed at me she took my hand and she taught me after two hours I got the hang of it and we were skating together around the rink"
Andy Carried on listening
Robert; "I was shocked that she said yes to marrying me. Then she fell out of love"
Andy; "I understand how you feeling but just remember I'm not Claire, I won't keep you away from this baby, I'm happy that I'm pregnant and you got me pregnant. You'll always have your children by your side. They are so".... Robert interrupts
Robert; "our children"
Andy; "yes I know but"... again he interrupts her
Robert; "Andy there our children, the paperwork had come. You've always been Alex's mummy but now it's official. He's yours."
This brought tears to Andy.
Robert; "I also went down the office and changed his last name to Sullivan- Herrera"
The little boy that she had met since he was three weeks old is hers the little boy who got attached to her is her. then she realised he doesn't want her as he cried every time she got near to him.
Andy; "what time do you pick Alex up," she asked as she wanted to celebrate with him in a way she hasn't done in a week and a half as she missed him so much and with all this news is overwhelming
Robert; "not yet why," he asked
Andy started to play with him, leaning closer to him and said
Andy; "I want you so bad," she said as she sat on his lap
With no hesitation, he picks her up and carried her up stair find it hard to do so and she kept kissing his neck.
They made love to each other then showered and went to pick up Alex.
Andy was nervous she stood back as she didn't want him to cry
Robert; "hey little man, guess who I brought to see... I brought mommy to see you."
They picked his stuff and put him in the pram and took him to the park
Robert put him in the swing and began to push him
Roberts; "here push him for a minute I'm going to get some drinks"
With andy pushing Alex, he wasn't bothered giving her big smiles and kicking his legs. Robert watched while he waited for his drinks. Andy wanted so much to hold him in her arms, hold him so close to her as she missed him so much
That evening, Robert bath Alex and got him in his nightclothes Andy had already done his bottle and sitting waiting for him. As they settled on the sofa all three, with Andy laying down a little she watched as Alex puts his head on Roberts's chest looking back at her. He sat up and leaned forward to her.
Andy move brings him closer to her, he laid his head on her chest his little hand on her tummy
Six weeks of not having some sort of closure with him were killing her and yet here they both were snuggled on the sofa together.
Robert got up to check on their dinner before walking away he whispered
Robert; "mummy and Alex reunited."He then kissed them and took a photo of the two of them.
I have something for you that I have been doing since you agreed that be his mum.
He went and got it, as I was doing his baby book I decided that he need a special book for him and mommy, he went to taking the baby off andy so she could look through it but he started to cry and gripped his hand on her top. So Andy looked through the book while cuddling Alex.
There were photos that she didn't know was taken as the pair of them falling asleep together on the couch of her work office, photos at the park and her favourite one is Alex had his little hand on her cheek and fell asleep.
Andy; "this book is beautiful, I love it so much thank you." She said as she pulled him closer to kiss him.
Robert; "This needs to go in there as well" as he held out the adoption document.
Andy; "I can't believe this is all happening I'm so happy," she told him as she kissed him.
She watched as Alex slept on her she is glad to have him back in her arms
The love of a mother and son will always live in her heart.
