I wake up to Emily laughing in the living room. I slowly sit up on the bed and look at the other side of the bed where it's no surprise to see that they both aren't there.

I stand up and quietly walk out to the living room. I see Jake laying on the couch. He lifts Emily up with both of his hands and she erupts with giggles and laughing.

I lean against the side of the doorway and watch them. He lays her back down on his chest and puts his hand on her back. I smile at them.

"Hey," I say quietly and walk over to them. He looks at me and I sit next to him. He sits up very slowly, careful not to disturb Emily.

"Hey," he says back and I look at Emily who is struggling to keep her eyes open.

"How long has she been up?" I ask and he shrugs, lightly stroking her back. She uses his leg as a pillow and lays her body on the couch.

"Not that long, not even an hour." he says back. It's still dark outside so I'm figuring it's still around three or four.

"My sleep schedule is, horrible." I say back and he smiles.

"I'm used to being up early for school," he says back and I nod. "They keep calling me asking to see her," he says and I look at him.

"Who?" I ask and he sighs.

"Maddison," he says back and I nod again. "I swear to god they called me every hour yesterday," he says again and I smile.

"Just tell them we will go by later today," I say back and he shakes his head.

"They are coming over at three," he says back and I sigh too. "I know," he says and looks at me.

"What time is it now?" I ask and he shrugs.

"About five," he says back and I look at Emily. "Do you want to take advantage of them being here?" Jake asks.

"What do you mean?"

"They would be happy to babysit, do you want to maybe go somewhere?" he asks back and I shrug, nodding.

"I guess, just tell them." I ask back and he lightly kisses me.

"I already did, the last time they called. They are just going to watch her here."

He moves Emily so she is fully on his lap. He puts his arm around me and I put my head on his shoulder.
