Summer break was in full swing, all the free time in the world and you could do whatever you want with it. Even though you had all this leisure time, the scorching heat made it unbearable for you to last outside for more than five minutes. You decided to spend the hot afternoon at Tsukishima's house, you felt that it was better to be sticky and uncomfortable with your boyfriend rather than home alone.

Even with the AC on, the heat managed to find its way into Tsukishima's house to make you suffer. You liked summer, it was the best season to have fun and relax but you sweat very easily. Perspiring buckets of sweat when moving just a smidge peeved you so bad, especially when it caused your clothes to cling onto your body.

You lied next to the electric fan in a pair of loose shorts and a t-shirt, feeling the intense cold breeze blow over your body. "Don't sit so close to the fan, you're gonna get a headache," Tsukishima called out from the kitchen where he was preparing something for the two of you. You let out a relaxed groan in response, not budging a single bit. He was right, the cold breeze would for sure cause a headache later on but Advil was an amazing product. Normally you wouldn't do such a thing, headaches were the bane of your existence and you did everything you could to avoid having one but the heat was getting to you. All your rationality went out the window ages ago that you were willing to deal with a headache than sweaty discomfort.

Better to be cool and in pain than hot and miserable, am I right?

Tsukishima walked over and set a plate of tangerines down on the coffee table, shaking your leg vigorously until you got up. "Alright alright, I'll get up," you whined, lazily grabbing onto Tsukishima's forearm to help pull yourself up. You eyed the tangerines that sat in the middle of the table, droplets of water glistening on the peels to show that they had just been rinsed. "I put them in the fridge so that they would be cool," Tsukishima said, picking up a tangerine from the top of the tower and handing it to you. You eyed it innocently, "Are they sweet?" Tsukishima nodded, "My mother bought a bag a few days ago and they were really sweet, so she bought more." You nodded absentmindedly, still not taking the tangerine from his hand. Tsukishima cocked his head, "You don't want it?" You shook your head, "I want it but I don't wanna peel them."

Tsukishima sighed, "You're so lazy." He started peeling the tangerine, inserting his thumb into the divot and breaking into the skin. "I'm sorry, the heat's just making it too hard to do anything," you sulked, looking at the stack of tangerines longingly. Tsukishima finished peeling the tangerine and he set the rind aside, pulling off some of the stringy piths and putting them with the peel. He pulled apart the tangerine and held up a slice towards you, "Open up." You leaned towards his hand and chomped down on the tangerine slice, happily savouring the cold juices that burst out of the fruit when you bit down.

"Ooh! These are sweet, you're right."

He then handed you the rest of the tangerines but you shook your head. "Tsukishima, would you be the best best best boy I know and give me another tangerine?" You opened your mouth expectantly, awaiting another tangerine slice to be placed in your mouth. Tsukishima glared at you from the corner of his eye, eating the tangerine himself.

"No."

"But why?"

"Because I'm just the best best best boy."

"I didn't know you cared so much about that, I'm sorry! You're my best best best boyfriend, okay?"

Tsukishima continued enjoying the tangerine for himself, chewing thoughtfully. "Too late, go peel another tangerine for yourself," he swallowed his tangerine slice and smirked coolly. You slumped over onto the table, contemplating whether or not it was worth it to move your arms to take another tangerine. One on hand, you would be refreshed by the cool juices but at the same time your laziness level was over the roof.

As you remained glued to your spot, head still resting on the table, Tsukishima holds out another slice for you to eat. Your face instantly lit up and chewed up the tangerine like it was nothing. "Thank you!" you cheered, licking your lips to enjoy as much of the juice as possible. "Yeah, and you're not getting anymore," he said, already handing you another piece to eat.

You snorted lightly, what a kid.
