"Hurry up Tsukki! We're already late!"

"It's just lunch with friends, calm yourself."

"Yeah, and that's time wasted waiting for you to hurry up when I could be sitting with my friends."

"Shut up."

"Bro stop smacking me all the time, I'll box you!"

"Like you even can, you're not even half my height!"

"But I am-"

"Hush now, fetus child."

You grumbled obscenities under your breath, arms crossed as you watch him take out his lunch even slower just to spite you. Eventually he took out his lunch box and looked up at you, eyes landing on your empty hands. "You buying today?" he inquired, walking towards you. You shrugged nonchalantly, "Ah yeah, and I'm not in the mood for caf food today." Tsukishima gave you a scrutinizing look, causing you to fidget slightly under his gaze. Wordlessly, he stuck his hand into your school bag and pulled out your lunch bag, the one that you were desperately trying to hide. A forced laugh spilled out and you tried to grab the bag out of his hands when you felt that his guard was lowered. Unfortunately, he saw through your tactic and pulled the lunch bag away from you. He raised it up into the air, high above your reach.

"Now, wanna tell me why you lied?"

"Well..."

"Well?"

You fiddled with your thumbs as you tried to piece your words together in your mind, trying to make it as nice sounding as possible. Your palms clammed up instantly and you could tell that Tsukishima was getting impatient, he was expecting you to answer real soon. "Let's just say that I've been eating a lot recently, and not the most healthiest foods either," you said sheepishly, covering your flushing cheeks. You were quite ashamed, you weren't one to indulge in junk foods that often. Yes you were a huge foodie and you ate to your heart's content, but at the same time you knew when to watch it. "So you're just not gonna eat lunch?" he finished, and you nodded meekly. It was a stupid idea for sure, but you genuinely weren't feeling that hungry at the moment.

Skipping for today wouldn't hurt.

(Haha that is not true, skipping meals ends up making you more hungry which in turn makes you eat more. Lesson's over, don't skip your meals cool?)

Tsukishima rubbed his temples tiredly, "You realize how stupid you sound right? We've learned about this in home ec-" You cut him off, knowing exactly what he was going to say. You tried to bring up your point about not being hungry but he sneered at your response, saying that it was another feeble excuse to not eat. You don't blame him, it did sound like a weak attempt to dodge a bullet. You didn't entirely believe yourself either. You twitched your nose slightly, contemplating whether you should tell him the underlying truth.

Might as well.

"Well, because of all the bad things I've been eating I feel like I've gotten a lot more chunky. Ya get me? I'm still gonna eat but right now I'm just not in the mood."

"You look fine."

"You're just saying that cuz you don't wanna hurt my feelings."

"You can tell I'm serious right now."

You clicked your tongue sharply, he was right. He was as serious as a rock, there were no hints of trickery, malice, or hidden plans from that statement. He wouldn't joke about something like this either, it's just plain rude and he knew it when it came to your feelings. He sighed and patted your head tenderly, "If you want to cut your junk intake I'll help you, just ask. But that doesn't mean you should be skipping your meals, idiot."

You took his hand off the top of your head and held it in your hands.

"Thanks Tsukki."

"...Anytime."
