When I arrived at SI I greeted the receptionist as usual and went upstairs to Mr.Tony's lab. I knocked on the door and waited for Mr.Tony to tell me to come in. When he did he smiled at me. "You know you don't have to knock." He chuckled. I just shrugged.
"It's not polite." I just told him. He rolled his eye. Kid, this house is anything but polite." He chuckled. I laughed as well and we started to work on the legs of the suit. I stayed overtime once more but this time, I was ver there four hours.
"Kid, it's pretty late. How about we get something to eat?" He asked. I just smiled and nodded. I texted the foster home peoples about where I was and they said that my curfew could be pushed back to ten. That made me happy.
We went up a floor to the avenger's living space and I was still in awe about this place. It was so cool! I saw the table and my jaw dropped when I saw what I did. Oh mah gawd, All the fucking avengers were there. Even captain Marvel, and Star lord! There was a tree, raccoon, and green girl. I was very nervous because of all the people in the room.
"Young Peter! It is nice to see you again!" Mr.Thor said. All eyes turned to me and I gave a shy wave. "H-hi! I'm Peter Parker, mr.Tony's personal intern!" I smiled. "I'm keeping him." Captain Marvel said. I laughed and Mr. To t put a hand on my shoulder.
"Ah ah ah! He's mine, my intern." He said, pointing at Captain Marvel. My face flushed in embarrassment and I laughed again.
"Are you staying with us for dinner?" Ms.Potts asked. I nodded. "Only if it's not a problem." I smiled. She smiled. "It's never a problem Peter." She reassured. I thanked her and took a random spot at the table.
The tree was beside me and mr.Tony occupied the other seat next to me. The tree was playing a game and when he saw me looking he looked at me. "I am groot." He told me. I was mildly surprised that he could talk.
"That's a cool game!" I smiled, pointing at the game. The tree seemed to smile and he handed it to me. My eyes widened and I carefully took it. We continued taking turns, cheering whenever we won. When the food was served I gave him the game back. "Thanks for letting me play with you." I smiled. "I am groot!" He smiled. I looked at the food in front of me and I was drooling inside my mouth.
"I hope you like spaghetti Peter! Sam made the sauce, and a few of us pitched in to make the noodles." Ms.Potts smiled. I smiled back. "It's looks awesome! I can't remember I've had a homemade meal!" I smiled. "What, do your parents not cook for ya?" The raccoon asked. "ROCKET!" everyone yelled. I just laughed and shook my head.
"I'm an orphan mr.Rocket sir! My parents died when I was six!" I smiled. He "oohed" and sighed. "Sorry kid. And drop the mr, sir crap." He waved me off. I laughed. "My aunt and uncle taught me that using words like that was polite, and that's what I try to do!" I smiled. Rocket scoffed and continued to eat. I started eating as well, and for the love of Thor-it was so good.
"So kid, how much do you know about guns?" Rocket asked. Everyone yelled at him again. "What? Can a kid not know about guns?" Rocket asked. "I'm fifteen for your information!" I pouted. He gave me a look. "Your a kid." He told me. I sighed in defeat and conversation continued to go around.
I looked around, and yet mr.Loki wasn't there.
When dinner was over, I looked at my watch and saw it was nine thirty. I yelped softly and looked at the avengers.
"Thank you so much for dinner! But I have to leave now to get back on time for curfew!" I smiled.
"That's alright kid, thanks for staying. I'll see ya tomorrow." Mr.Tony smiled. I nodded and I went back to the foster home. Tomorrow was a Saturday, and so I would be working probably over five hours tomorrow. We had finished parts of the legs, and we are most likely going to finish it tomorrow.
The only other problem, is that couples are going to be coming over tomorrow. And in this place, it's mandatory to be there when these people come. That's means I have free time! I used to draw before aunt May's death, and I don't have much time to do it, transferring through homes and all.
I arrived five minutes before curfew and thanked the foster home people for expanding my time. When I got back into my room, Ray was laying on my bunk, half asleep. I smirked and got clean boxers, then took a shower. The water was freezing but I was used to it by now.
When I got out of the shower, I didn't mind drying my hair, and I just slipped on my boxers because I did t know where those towels have been...or what they've dried. I shivered at the thought and went back out into the room. Ray was still on my bunk, and I decided not to go out as Spider-Man that night.
I never mess with people in their sleep. That's just wrong. So I picked Ray up carefully and put him on his bunk. I ran my fingers through his hair once and was surprised when his hand touched mine, pulling it back into his hair.
I laughed softly and continued running my hand through his hair until his breathing was long and deep. This time, when I pulled my hand back, he didn't reach for it, and I laid down in my bunk. I closed my eyes and pictured myself in a good family. A single parent, straight parents, gay parents, lesbian parents-I wouldn't care. People would laugh and shout. We would joke around. Everything would be amazing.
And through all my thinking, I ended up thinking about something I could have one day.
A husband
