As Bruce and Nova were in the lab working, Loki passed them with a smirk on his face as he was surrounded by guards. The God looked to Nova and Bruce, his smirk widening as the two unfortunate souls glanced at each other.
"That can't be good." Nova mumbled.
"Got that right." Bruce replied, pinching the bridge of his nose.
The two left the lab and made their way back to the main room where everyone was gathered around a table, watching on a small screen the cell Loki was in.
"In case it's unclear," Fury began, "I'd you try to escape, if you so much as scratch that glass, it's 30,000 feet straight down in a steel trap. You get how that works? Ant, boot."
"It's an impressive cage. Not built, I think, for me." Loki chuckled.
"Built for two things a lot stronger than you." Fury replied.
"Oh, I've heard." Loki then looked to the camera. "A mindless beast and a monstrous cannibal. Makes play, he's still a man and a young woman."
Bruce and Nova exchanged looks before the woman looked to the redhead who told her she wouldn't be put into a cage. Clearly she was lying so the brunette gave her a glare that could shake the worst of beings; it made Natasha gulp.
"How desperate are you, that you call on such lost creatures to defend you?" Loki asked.
"How desperate am I? You threaten my world with war. You steal a force you can't hope to control. You talk about peace, and you kill because it's fun. You have made me very desperate. You might not be glad that you did." Fury replied.
"Ooh. It burns to have you come so close. To have the Tesseract, to have power, unlimited power. And for what? A warm light for all mankind to share. And then to be reminded what real power is." Loki sneered.
"Well, let me know if 'real power' want a magazine or something." Fury stated, leaving the room as Loki turned to smirk at the camera again.
"He really grows on you, doesn't he?" Bruce asked sarcastically as Nova let out a snort.
"Loki's gonna drag this out. So, Thor, what's his play?" Steve asked.
"He has an army called the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard, nor any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him Earth, in returns, I suspect, for the Tesseract." Thor explained.
