- "Hey, Natty." -
An obnoxious banging on Nova's bedroom door woke her up at 5am. The woman rolled over with a small groan when light seeped into her room.
"Up. We're going on a run." Steve smiled, as though the sun wasn't still rising.
"You can." Nova grumbled, flipping him off.
"You come on a run with more or no ice cream for a moth." Steve argued.
"Run, Nova." Venom growled in her head.
"Fine, fine. God, do you not have any shirts that fit you?" Nova asked, looking at Steve as she got out of bed.
"Shut up." Steve playfully scowled, closing the door behind him.
Nova stretched before having a speedy showing and getting changed. Once in a sports bra and some cycling shorts, she exited the room and gulped down a bottle of water impressively fast.
Both her and Steve left the flat and waved to their neighbour, Kate. Once outside, the two began to run, well, sprint. Steve and Nova surprisingly had the same running pace making it easy to run and talks t the same time.
The duo saw a man ahead of them on a gentle jog and smirked at each other before speeding up a little.
"On your left." The two stated, running past as the man just continued.
The two did another lap when they came across the man again. They both continued to run while the man jogged until they passed him.
"On your left." The two said again.
"Uh-huh. On my left. Got it." The man replied.
As the sun had finally risen, both of the Avengers came across the same man again, speeding up while the man glanced back.
"Don't say it. Don't you say it." The man warned.
"On your left." The two smirked, speeding past him as the man tried to speed up.
"Come on!" The man yelled, turning the corner then stopping to breath.
Another lap later, Steve and Nova found the man sitting next to a tree, panting heavily as they approached him.
"Need a medic?" Steve joked causing the man to laugh.
"I need a new set of lungs. You guys just ran, like, 13 miles in 30 minutes." Sam breathed.
"I guess we got a late start." Steve smirked.
"Really? You should be ashamed of yourselves. You should take another lap." Sam paused. "Did you take it? I assume you just took it."
"What unit you with?" Steve quizzed, seeing Sams jumper.
"58th Pararescue. But now I'm working down at the VA. Sam Wilson." Sam held his hand out as Steve pulled him up.
