- "Smells like old people." -
Nova continued to drive, chatting with Natasha about random things, their hands together the whole time. Venom butted into the conversation every so often sometimes nuzzling his head into Natasha's.
Natasha would always pet his head and got a cheesy grin from the alien. Nova would smile, realising that she could still be happy and not have to stay alone like she planned to. Having Natasha there with her, made her smile genuinely for the first time in years and she wasn't gonna let that go.
The two women left the car, Steve still deeply asleep in the back. Natasha went to wake him up but stopped here Nova whispered to. Standing back, the red head laughed as Nova opened Steve car door.
"Stevie boy, wake up." Nova sang in his ear and Steve mumbled incoherently. "C'mon, it's time for school."
"Don' wanna go school." Steve whined and the two former assassins held back laughter.
"You need to, Stevie. Need to get good grades before the bird eats your homework." Nova continued, making a bird shape with her hands and slapping his forehead repeatedly and Nat had to clamp a hand over her mouth.
"No!" Steve whined again, batting the 'bird' away. "Stupid bird did it again."
"C'mon, Stevie Weevie. Wakey wakey." Nova sang, still slapping his face with the 'bird'.
"Nova, stop. I'm gonna cry." Natasha laughed as Steve's eyes fluttered open, Nova pulling back immediately, holding in chuckles.
"I just had the weirdest dream." Steve rubbed his eyes, getting out the car as Nova snorted into her hand, Natasha biting her hand to stop laughing. "What's funny?"
"Nothing." Natasha shook her head. "Stevie Weevie."
Confused, Steve grabbed his shield as the two women kept giggling between themselves. Steve glanced around at the old base, memories flickering back to him as Natasha held the tracker, Nova keeping an eye on the devise, too.
"This is it." Steve stated, still looking around.
"The file came from these coordinates." Natasha replied, tucking the tracker into her pocket.
"So did I." Steve said, staring at the sign.
Darkness soon overtook the camp, the search for the file whereabouts continuing. Nova had gotten very bored very quickly and was now playing with some stones, just kicking them around.
