The girls grabbed three raincoats and rode bikes to the public pool. El stood on the back of Bea's as they biked through the rain. Because of what they found, maybe they could find some clues as to why it was at Max's house.
Beatrice thought that their raincoats were funny. Max was a yellow mustard color. Eleven was wearing red, so she's ketchup. And Bea was wearing green, so she must be relish. They're the colors of condiments!
When they walked up to the front desk, Max was the first to speak. "Excuse me," she spoke politely to the two teen lifeguards.
"No one in the water until 30 minutes after the last strike," the man said so monotonously it was as if he'd been repeating that sentence for hours. Which he probably has. "And don't try and argue with me. You wanna get electrocuted, go climb a tree."
"Yeah, we don't care. We're not here to swim," Max says urgently. Something is happening and it's not good. "Or get electrocuted," Beatrice adds.
"We found this." Eleven pulls out the lifeguard fanny-pack. Hopefully they'll find out who it belongs to.
They finally look up from their magazines and Bea asks, "Does that belong to anybody here?"
"Oh, yeah. That's Heather's. I'll get it back to her." The male lifeguard is the only one to speak again.
"We could give it back to her." El suggests to the young adult.
"You could. 'Cept she's not here. Bailed on me today," he explains. Well that doesn't help. "What is this? You girls want a reward or somethin'?"
They shake their heads as Max boasts, "No. We're just... Good Samaritans." The female lifeguard sent her a sarcastic smile and Bea caught sight of it. She made eye contact with the girl until she backed down and looked away. Don't mess with Bea's friends.

Looking back, both Max and Bea follow El as she walks to the bulletin board with all the worker's pictures on it. Now they know what Heather looks like, and that means that Eleven can find her.
She pulls the picture off the cork board and they go into the pool's locker room. They grab goggles and duct tape them. Then Max and Bea turn on all of the showers so there can be a nice, quiet hum in the background for El.
They sit there, waiting as El does what she always does. Max asks her what she sees and Eleven responds with, "A red door."
Well that sounds familiar, doesn't it Beatrice?
C'mon, think! Where have you seen a red door? During a walk? Pfft, no. You don't do exercise. Was it in a movie? Probably, but that's not important.
And then she realizes as her face drains with color when Eleven comes gasping for air, prying the goggles off her face. The brunette looks at Bea and they both realize what's happening.
"What? What happened?" Max's head shoots between both of her friends as she stares at the terrified expression written on their faces.
