They drove to the hospital. By now the sun had already set and it was dark out. Their goal was to find a way to get Mrs. Driscoll out of there and find the source.

The group of seven was walking confidently past the reception desk until, "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Excuse me! Where do you think you're going?" The front desk lady asks as she quickly stood up from her seat.

Turning around to face her, Nancy smiles. "Oh, um... I was just going to visit my grandma again." She convinced the woman that Mrs. Driscoll was her grandma earlier yesterday. "And— and this.." She points to them, "..this is my family."

The lady sets her questioning eyes on Lucas who looks more like her than his 'family'. He just smiles at her and explains, "Extended."

"I don't care who they are. You know the rules. Two visitors at a time." She sasses with her hand on her hip.

"Yeah, but—"

"Two!" The lady holds up two fingers.

Nancy and Jonathan are the ones who go and they leave all the kids downstairs in the waiting room. Mike put a quarter into the vending machine. He wanted a KitKat. Right as the coil rotates, it stops before the candy can fall. "Oh, come on, you piece of shit!" Mike complains as he hits the machine over and over again with the help of Lucas.

Then, out of nowhere, everything from the machine falls down. Looking to their left they saw Eleven watching them with a bloody nose. Lucas shrugs as he digs around the candy while Mike tries to make progress and thanks her. El just nodded and went back to reading her magazine with Max.

"Dude, I think that was it," Lucas whispered to Mike.

"That was what?" He's not that bright.

"The olive branch." Lucas speaks in code.

"The what?"

Looking at his oblivious friend, he shakes his head. "Oh, my god. You're hopeless." Seeing as that didn't help, Lucas continues, "Okay, I'll distract Max, get you an opening." He whispers the plan to Mike, "And then talk to her. All right?"

As planned, Lucas distracts Max by throwing candy at her as she catches it in her mouth. This gave Mike the perfect opportunity to sit next to Eleven and talk. When he sat down, he used his head to signal to Will that he wanted to have a private conversation with El.

As the kids were downstairs, Nancy and Jonathan were fighting people who were flayed upstairs. The lights began to flicker and Will was the first one who was downstairs to notice. He stood from his seat, staring at the ceiling which caught the attention of the others.

The four sat up and watched the flickering lights as well. And that's when he felt it. The hair on his neck stood up again, and he knew. "He's here." Will shivered.

The kids ran up the stairs because the elevators are definitely not working now. Plus, their group doesn't seem to have a great history with elevators. They found Jonathan outside a room, pounding at the door, trying to get in as he shouted for Nancy.

And before the monster can do anything, El uses her powers to rip the door from its hinges. The creature turns around and starts crawling to Eleven. She uses her powers to slam it from wall to wall, over and over again. She slams it to the ceiling and floor as well. Anything to hurt or tire it out.
