Chapter 6: Lazy Day with Finn
Cara Days POV:
I close the door as Jack & Cara both leave, I wink at her before I close it entirely. I turn around & see Finn has already made it to the kitchen & is looking through the fridge. I walk over to the kitchen & I poke his sides. He stands up quickly, smirking at me. I smile at him, & push through him so I can see what's in the fridge. I take out a wrapped package & some veggies. I put it all on the island & start to move around. How about some chicken stir fry?
"What are you doing?"
Finn asks cheekily as he takes a seat at one of the high chairs by the island.
"Well, I can tell you're hungry, & I am too, so I'm making us dinner."
I open the wrapped package & take out the chicken breasts I got from May-Belle's store. I start slicing the chicken into thin strips. That's when Finn gets up & disappears behind me. He wraps his arms around my waist, while resting his head on my shoulder.
"What can I do to help?"
His deep British accent slurs through my ears, making me shiver & the hairs on the back of my neck to stand. Finn notices this & smirks.
"Ugh. You c..can help m..me ummm cut up the umm vegetables."
I respond shakily. I look over my shoulder & at him. He smiles sweetly & kisses me on my lips. It wasn't a long kiss, it was just a peck.
"Okay!"
He responds happily. I point out where the cutting board is, & where he can get the knife. He immediately starts slicing up the peppers, & onions that I have on the island. He was really good at it, I was slightly impressed. Actually, I was completely impressed! I liked me a guy who could cook.
I take out a bowl shaped pan & put it on the stove. I start putting all the chicken, vegetables, & sauces in. Finn would help me stir it, while I started to make the white rice. At some point Finn started messing with my phone & got the pass code figured out.
"How'd you..?"
He just smiled. Telling me that he put in his name. I'm sure I blushed a thousand shades of red! I was just playing around while changing my pass code & I put it as Finn Harries & I guess I forgot to change it. Oops.
He toke interest in my music being that he put my phone on the dock & One Direction's Take Me Home Album started blasting up the flat. Kiss You was the first song on shuffle & he immediately started to dance to it as I was washing the dishes, dying of laughter.
At the end of the chorus, before Harry's part. Finn comes beside me & sings in my ear.
"And let me kiss you..."
I smile & push him off of me. Cheeky butt! He just smirks & winks at me.
Once I've finished with the dishes, & the rice was done cooking, I serve the stir fry in a small bowl & the white rice in another. I put the bowls on the table & also take out some lemonade that I had made yesterday, serving it into glass cups. I sit down & Finn does too.
We both start eating immediately. During it all I would steal glances at Finn & him at me. I would smile whenever he caught me.
After dinner I told him he had to do the dishes so he did, after some begging. Haha! While he was doing that & I finished cleaning the table & putting everything away. I decided to have a little fun. I got my phone & run upstairs without him noticing. Where to hide? Where to hide? Aha!
