Sky's POV

"Good morning!" George greeted me cheerfully as soon as I entered our office. I didn't sleep well last night because I've been thinking about Violet.

"Morning" I dryly said before lazily walking to my seat. Violet hasn't arrived yet and I am already getting worried.

I went to her house last night but it seems like she's not home. She's also not answering my calls since last night.

Something bad probably happened. I said mentally and about to open my computer when Luis called me.

"Michael is waiting for you in the conference room, he needs to discuss something with you urgently so go there now," he said while pointing towards the room's direction.

I've been calling Michael since last night as well and he's not answering. I suddenly felt suspicious and jealous. "Maybe they spent the night together somewhere" I mumbled to myself before standing up.

I slowly opened the door and I felt nervous when I saw him standing while his arms are crossed. He's looking at me seriously and I can't read what's going on in his mind.

"Luis told me that you want to talk–" I didn't get to finish what I'm saying because I'm interrupted with a hard punch on my right arm.

I immediately leaned my body against the wall to support myself, the punch hurts a lot. I'm about to get angry when I realized something. He never hurt me, even when we're in training, he makes sure to avoid being in combat with me.

Could it be that Violet already broke up with him? Dang it!

"That's for stealing my girlfriend from me, she broke up with me last night because of you," he said seriously while pointing his fingers at me.

The heck! Oh, dear!

"Michael...I don't know what to say aside from sorry" I feel like I want to disappear right now because of so much guilt, but I need to be honest with him. "You can punch me more if you like. I would gladly accept it because I know that I did a grave offense to you"

"There's no need, I already punched you once so that's enough for me," He said after shaking his head in objection.

"But I don't think that's enough" I argued while still massaging my arm.

"I'm so hurt and upset, but I cannot force someone to love me back if she doesn't" he added after releasing a heavy sigh.

I admire him for letting us go this easy even if it hurts. If it's a different person, I'm pretty sure that I will not only receive a punch.

"I'm really sorry Michael, I swear I tried to hold back these feelings" I tried to explain.

He just gave me a small smile and then he walked closer to me to pat my head. "That's fine, I forgive you because you're my little sister"

I'm touched by what he said so I leaned closer to give him a tight hug. "Thank you for understanding Michael. I promise you that I will never hurt her"

"Make sure that you won't, otherwise, I'll make sure to punch you on your face" he joked.

We both returned to our seats afterward, as if nothing happened. I feel like a heavy weight has been lifted from me. I felt excited when I saw Glenda calling. I pressed the speakerphone button so everyone can hear what she's going to say.

"I already have the list of the patrolling officers during the night of the abduction. I saved it in the shared folder named Midnight Killer in network 2" she said in a rush before ending the call.
