Sky's POV
7 years earlier...
"Are you ready?" Michael inquired while nudging my shoulder. He's my older brother and we have a six-year age gap.
"Of course" I replied calmly while fixing the scope of my AX 50 sniper that I am going to use to eliminate our target. It's my first assignment with them so I must not fail.
Our target is Argus Zaldivar, he's the leader of the triad in the USA. Dad handed over to us the assignment since regular police's can't handle the case anymore. Their influence and power are increasing because they have connections with corrupt officials in the government, and it's very hard to prove that they are doing illegal businesses due to this.
"This will be your first kill little girl" George said smirking. He is Michael's best buddy since high school, and he used to court me when I was still in senior high.
There are only 15 members of SWAT's elite team aside from the regular SWAT, and Michael is the captain. I'm the youngest and the only woman so they still treat me as a child. It annoys me most of the time but I'm already used to it.
Argus is cozily sitting on the bench with his wife, Helena beside him. Their bodyguards are surrounding them, and there are also ununiformed guards from a distance. He never lets his guard down and it's very seldom for his wife and only daughter to go out in public.
We came to know their current location when someone called Michael and informed him that Argus will come to the newly opened carnival with his family. It's actually sketchy but we still tried, and was surprised that they are actually there.
I moved my scope to look around for a moment till my gaze got fixed on their daughter, she's busy watching the magician that was hired to only entertain her. Argus is known to be extravagant when it comes to his family and friends.
"She has a purple eyes" I muttered amused. Statistics say that there is only 0.01% of people having a purple eyes and she's one of it and I forgot what it's called.
"Who?" Michael inquired.
"Their daughter" I replied simply.
As per our records, her name is Illiana Violeta Zaldivar. She is 14 years old and already a grade 10 student in Harvard-Westlake School. She's supposed to be a grade 8 student but due to her exceptional intelligence, she was accelerated by two years.
My body tensed up when her gaze landed on my direction. I know that she can't see me but it feels like she can. She has an aura that I can't quite place. I sighed in relief when she returned her attention back to the magician and giggled afterwards when she was given a bunny that came out from the magician's hat.
Typical I said mentally.
She is flat chested and she doesn't know how to dress well yet, she's a typical timid girl with pink braces. The bully's favorite.
"She didn't get the genes of her parents" Ron said chuckling.
All of them laughed except me, I don't find it funny when someone pokes fun of appearance of a person.
"I'm ready" I said calmly as I returned the scope to my real target. I breathed out loud and about to pull the trigger when we heard Jude's voice on the radio.
"Abort mission, I repeat abort mission! This is a trap, I'm shot by a sniper, they know that we're here and they will come to your location soon" He said with pain registered on his voice. He is located on the rooftop of the building beside us to check the movements of Argus' bodyguards.
