Ch.5 Lady Mystique

Illiana's POV

Carin and I left the country three days after we found out that Sky Montreal is still alive. I'm so afraid that she'll come after me so I told dad about what I did and he was happy. He immediately withdrew me from school and told them that I am going to do home school because I am still severely traumatized by what happened to my mom.

Our first stop was Japan where I trained for five months to study a set of arts that includes psychology, espionage, murder, military science, Jujutsu grappling and Kenjutsu swordsmanship. Then I went to Thailand to master Muay Thai for three months.

After that, we went to different parts of Asia to confuse the LAPD because I know that they are tracking all of my movements. My final destination was Russia, there I started my training as an Assassin in a covert school where Carin also trained. She was known there as Katya Ivanova and I was introduced as Ekaterina Ivanova, her cousin.

There I found out that she and Andrey Romanov are batch mates. Andrey went to California to start his own illegal business as soon as they finished the training and Carin returned to us because it was dad who sent her to Russia.

The rumour that RRM is connected to the Triad before was true. Andrey came to us to propose partnership which dad accepted because they need to broaden their Russian connection that time. The Triad supplies the drugs while RRM distributes it.

The partnership ended after three years when dad disapproved Andrey's proposal of adding white slave trade in the business. It is part of the rule of the Triad to never trade people as it is the most difficult business to manage and can be easily traced by the police.

Andrey pursued his white slave trade business and found a new supplier for his drug distribution. RRM is a small time crime organized group compared to the Triad that's why dad didn't do anything to eliminate them. Things got sour between them when RRM managed to steal twenty percent of our clients when dad became out of focus due to mom's death.

"That bastard!" Dad said angrily before tossing the brown envelope on his desk. It was delivered to us by RRm's messenger earlier.

I checked it and saw that it's a collection of my photos way back when I was sixteen and seventeen years old in Russia. It was accompanied by a typewritten letter from Andrey, commanding us to help him escape and make him safe until he's back to Russia. If we don't what he wants at the earliest then he will expose my photos to the public and will release evidences that dad is the leader of the Triad.

"I could kill him right now" He added angrily before picking up his glass of rum.

"I'd be more famous if these gorgeous photos of mine will leak" I said unfazed by Andrey's threat.

There are only ten members of the Triad that are allowed to see my face. First is dad and Anton which is his personal bodyguard, Carin and the twins Migo and Arvin who are former SWAT members of NYPD and lastly, the five officers of the Triad.

LAPD knows that I am Lady Mystique, but they don't have a clue of how I looked like right now. I've changed so much that no one will figure out that I am Illiana Zaldivar, except for my violet eyes which I can easily cover with contact lenses.

I also used different names in every country that I'm heading to hide my real identity to the police. I'm known as Kira Shinoda in Japan, Ekaterina Ivanova in Russia and now Lady Mystique. I mastered Japanese, Russian and Tagalog language because most of our big time clients are there.

"Let's indulge him for the meantime"

"What's your plan?" He inquired before sitting back to his chair.
