Sky's POV
I'm still in shock when Michael and George arrived in Toby's house. I'm sitting on the couch while trying my best not to cry and to be strong. Toby suffered in the hands of Lady Mystique, and I can't get the sight of his battered body out of my mind.
I told his wife to not come here and to just wait for my call for an update after the autopsy. Toby is cheating with another woman, but he doesn't deserve to be killed like that.
"If only I arrived fifteen minutes earlier, I should've drove faster" I said in remorse. Michael sat beside me and started tapping my back to comfort me. He's not saying anything but I can see on his face that he's sad and angry because of what happened.
The medical examiner is still checking Toby's body but he informed me earlier that Toby died approximately fifteen minutes before I arrived.
"What did Lady Mystique told you earlier when she called?" Michael inquired after a moment.
"She told me that Toby deserved to die because he's a cheater" I said as my tears started to fall.
"Toby knows her, but as a different person for sure. We need to find out the identity that she used to make Toby fall for her" George informed us while checking the expensive bottle of wine on the table.
"Toby is frugal, he won't buy that kind of expensive wine. I already told the forensics to have that checked for finger prints" I informed him.
Michael stood up after a moment to examine the contents on the table while I remained sitting. I cursed mentally when my phone suddenly rang because I'm sure that the unfamiliar number on the screen of my phone is Lady Mystique.
"You fucking bitch, I'll kill you!" I yelled in anger.
"You know, you've been saying that to me for I don't know how long, I'm starting to think that it's your form of endearment towards me" she said seductively which only aggravated my anger towards her.
"Go to hell you f***ing killer!" I yelled again before ending the call. I stood up afterwards to calm myself.
The medical examiner came down from the second floor just when I'm about to go up to check him, he's followed by his staffs that are carrying Toby's body inside a bag on a stretcher.
"He was brutally killed, which I'm assuming you already know. She used Toby as a human target, and she used a nail gun" I shook my head in disbelief.
"Is that the cause of his death?" I asked afterwards.
"He was severely shot by nail on the neck, close to his jugular veins. He was also stabbed on his kidney and directly on his heart, which caused him to die after"
"Man, she's brutal" George exclaimed while shaking his head in disbelief.
He pointed to the CCTV camera afterwards and told us that Toby turned it off around eight pm last night. He really doesn't want to be caught cheating, and that decision caused him his life.
"I'll send you the complete lab reports within three days" the Medical Examiner said before leaving.
"All this time we thought he's a faithful man" Michael said while massaging his temple. We never noticed a single hint about him being unfaithful. He's always so proud of his wife and daughter, he talks about them all the time.
"Let's just keep the cheating part a secret from Stella and her daughter. It's enough that she knows that Toby was brutally killed" I suggested which they both agreed.
Lady Mystique left the nail gun on top of the drawer but the she didn't leave the knife that she used to stab Toby. I'm pretty sure that it's her personal knife, the same that she used to her previous victims.
