James TW - Incredible:
'My God, it's been a while since the last time I saw you smile. Sometimes life gets so crazy that we can forget, all the things we did when we first met.'

Lexi groaned when she turned her alarm off at 7.15 AM on a Thursday morning to get up for another day at her internship. She had an exciting assignment today, so it wasn't too hard to get out of bed. She was happy she made the decision last night to lay out her outfit for today so she didn't have to think about it so early. It was a little chilly this morning, so the chunky sweater, leather-look legging and Dr Martens boots were a good choice.

She took her clothes to the bathroom, brushed her teeth and stepped in the shower. Luckily she didn't have to wash her hair and it was still curled from yesterday. Lexi added a light layer of makeup on her face, sprayed some perfume around her neck and wrists and put on her clothes. After that, she had a light breakfast in the kitchen, wished her mom and dad a good day, grabbed her purse and got in her car to start the 20-minute journey to the Autosport headquarters.

She loved her internship and it was amazing to think back to the phone call she got about 6 months ago. "Is this Lexi Abrams?" an unknown voice on the other side asked. "This is she, how can I help you?" Lexi responded. "This is Jackie from Autosport Magazine. We received your photographs and they are amazing! We would love to publish them in our next issue, if that's okay with you?" 'Wait, what? They want to publish MY photos?' Lexi thought to herself.

She took some photos at a Formula 1 race in Monza she went to with her dad and brother Joey a couple of years ago. Autosport Magazine had posted a tweet saying they were looking for a new photography intern and that anyone interested in the position, could email them. Because of her love for photography and racing, Lexi didn't hesitate to send in five photos, the back story and a little introduction about herself. Apparently, they loved the photos and her email and after a short talk on the phone, she had been offered the internship.

The people at Autosport were really kind and she learned a lot in the past 6 months. The internship was parttime as she still went to uni on Monday & Tuesday but Wednesday & Thursday were her favourite days of the week. Friday and the weekend were for studying at home, which she did a lot. She loved it though and had never complained about her busy schedule. Today she had been asked to go on her very first assignment as the main photographer. She had been tagging along with others and learning from them until now. There was an interview scheduled with some racing drivers and she was supposed to take some pictures of them during the time they were there. She didn't know who the guests were, but she was excited anyway.

"Good morning Jackie!" Lexi said happily when she arrived at the office. Jackie was her internship supervisor and a very talented photographer. "Morning! Excited for your first official solo assignment?" she asked, while pouring her first of many coffees of the day. "Yes, very much so. Can't wait to see who they are, since you don't want to tell me". Lexi said faking an annoyed look on her face. "You have to wait and see, missy. Benji will be here around 9 o'clock to pick you up so you can leave". Since it was only 8.45, it allowed Lexi to sort through her equipment bag and check if everything she would need was in there. After she did that, she answered a few emails and when her inbox was empty again, Benji, the journalist who would be interviewing the drivers, arrived at her desk. "Ready to go?" he asked her. Lexi jumped up from her desk, grabbed her phone and equipment bag and followed him to the door. "Absolutely!"

The drive to the location was relatively short and Lexi was getting more curious by the minute. She had tried to get Benji to tell her who they were interviewing, but he didn't budge. But when they took the Woking exit on the highway, Lexi had a feeling they were going to the McLaren Technology Centre and that made her heart do a little backflip. The nerves started to kick in and she had to squeeze her hands together to stop them from shaking. 'You can't take good pictures with shaky hands, Lex!'

They arrived at the MTC, grabbed their stuff out of the boot of the car and walked up to the entrance of the building. After being buzzed in, they went up to the reception desk and were greeted by a friendly looking woman. "Hi, welcome! How can I help you?" she asked while smiling politely at them. Benji started talking to her and Lexi looked around in awe of the building she was in. She couldn't believe she was at the McLaren headquarters. She looked at all the cars that were displayed along the boulevard until she was interrupted by Benji, who told her they had to wait for a couple of minutes while everything was still being set up for their interview. That allowed Lexi to snap a quick picture with her phone and send it to her best friend Olivia.

Lexi 🧡:
OMG Liv, I'm at the McLaren Technology Centre for work, I can't believe it! XO

Liv responded right away and even though she wasn't a motorsport fan, she was happy for her best friend.

Liv 🧚:
Oh my, so fun! Good luck sweetie, call me when you get back home! X

Lexi smiled while reading the sweet message and put her phone back in her purse. A couple of minutes later, they were being led to the room where the interview would be held. She grabbed her camera, just to be prepared to start taking pictures right away. When they entered the room she took a second to look around. It looked like a little theatre, with a stage that displayed the papaya coloured McLaren Formula 1 car beautifully. It reminded her of the fact that she hadn't been able to watch a race in a very long time because of her busy schedule and she missed it. She had no clue who the McLaren drivers were now. There were a handful of people in front of the stage, including two young men in race suits. One was a little bit shorter than the other but they both had brown hair. They stood with their backs to the entrance of the room and were getting a slight makeup touch up. Lexi and Benji made their way to the front of the theatre to introduce themselves and when he turned around, she recognized him straight away.

It was him, it was Lando..
