9 | Stay with me

The next few days went by fast and Lando found himself thinking about Lexi and their date a lot. He had imagined himself kissing her from the moment he swiped the pasta sauce off her face and he was happy he eventually found the courage to do it. Even if it was just a peck. They had been texting back and forth for the past two days trying to decide when they would see each other again. Today was Wednesday and because Lexi didn't have to go to her internship anymore, she would come to his house again. He had finished his training this morning, cleaned up his house a bit and got showered and dressed in comfortable clothes. They would just be hanging around here anyway. It was around 1 PM when Lexi texted she was on her way. Lando felt the butterflies rise in his chest and made sure everything was ready for when she would get here. 

He put some candles,  drinks and snacks on the table and folded a blanket over the back of the sofa so they could cuddle up together. He chose a movie and it was already paused on the screen. When he was ready he heard his phone beep. Lexi texted him saying she was outside his gate. He went to the door and opened the gate with the remote. She drove up to the house and stepped out of the car. It was a lovely day and she looked so beautiful. She was wearing a flowy skirt with small flowers on it and a white long-sleeved crop top. He looked at her and all the feelings he felt Monday night came rushing back. He tried to stabilize his breath and gave her a hug when she stood before him. "Hey. You look lovely". he said while still holding on to her lower back. She gave him a small smile and hugged him again.

Lando let her walk in front of him to the living room and when she entered she let out a small squeak. "Lando.. You didn't have to do this!" She turned around with a smile from ear to ear. "Please, sit down. Make yourself at home when you're here okay?". Lando put his hand on her lower back and they walked to the sofa. He poured her a drink and got one for himself too. "I chose a movie already, but just tell me if you want to watch something else". "I really don't mind". Lexi said while getting comfortable and spreading the blanket over both their laps. Lando sat back, pressed play on the remote and lifted his arm over her head to invite her to cuddle up to him. 

During the movie, his hand had dropped from the back of the sofa to Lexi's side and he could just about touch the skin between her crop top and her skirt. He stroked her softly and heard her breath catch in her throat. "Is this okay?" He looked at her and saw the flushed look she had on her face. "Y-yes, it's fine. It was just a little unexpected and it tickled quite a bit". Lexi said while chuckling. "You can tell me if you get uncomfortable, I don't want to rush anything". Lando looked into her eyes and he saw her breath out again. "I trust you Lando, I'm just not really experienced with boys so everything we're doing is a first for me". "Same here". he said reassuring her. "We'll figure it out eventually". They both laughed and watched the rest of the movie.

Around dinner time, Lando ordered them a pizza. "Do you want a normal Margarita pizza or do have a special request?". "Margarita is fine". Lexi looked up from her phone and smiled. She was texting Liv to update her on everything that happened so far and Liv was loving it. "Keep sending updates!" she read. Lando sat back beside her and she put her phone away. Lexi turned to him and put her head on his shoulder. "I really like being here with you. You make me feel special". she said. "That's because you are special". Lando said while putting his fingers under her chin and lifting her head off his shoulder. He looked into her eyes and Lexi swallowed hard. She wanted to kiss him again. 

As if he could read her mind, Lando leaned in until his lips almost touched hers. He was still looking into her eyes as if he was waiting for her to give him permission and when she was the one to close the gap between them, his eyes fluttered closed. Their lips connected and it was as if the oxygen was being sucked out of Lexi's lungs. It felt even better than yesterday. Lando's hand cupped her cheek and she dared to lay hers on his chest. He pecked her a couple of times before she noticed his mouth opening slightly. Lexi whimpered softly when she felt his tongue run over her lower lip before she let him deepen the kiss.
