It was Monday. Yesterday had been an exciting day and Lexi smiled when she thought of the fun she had watching her first race in a really long time:
Lexi, Joey and their dad had prepared everything for a great afternoon. Lexi took care of the snacks and drinks while the boys made sure the tv was right in front of the sofa and the iPad with the live timing sheet was set up properly. They watched the pre-show on Sky Sports and Lexi texted Lando one last time to wish him good luck. She could barely contain her excitement when the Formula 1 intro came on and she bounced up and down in her seat. It had been such a long time.
By the time the red flag came out, they all needed a breather. It had been an intense race with rain, people spinning and to top it all off a big crash. Luckily everyone was okay and Lando was doing great to keep the positions he gained during the start. He was currently P3 because of Lewis Hamilton spinning off and the hopes for a podium finish were high. Lexi's knee bounced up and down at the restart and she saw Lando fly past Charles Leclerc. "Oh my god, look at Lando go!" Her dad and brother must have noticed her interest in him by now, she thought. He kept off Leclerc for a couple of laps but Hamilton was climbing back up the field. They knew he wouldn't be able to keep him behind and Lexi crossed her fingers for the last few laps. Leclerc didn't really seem to want to attack anymore and when Lando crossed the line in P3, they all jumped up from the sofa. "He did it!" Lexi yelled.
Currently, she was sat in a classroom waiting for her last lesson to finish. She had laid out her outfit for her date with Lando this morning, so she didn't have to rush too much when she got home. When the teacher announced the homework for next week and concluded the hour, Lexi jumped up from her seat and made her way to her car. She was so excited to see Lando again, even though the feelings were completely different between them since the last time she saw him at the McLaren event. They had told each other they liked one another and they had been talking almost non-stop. When Lexi arrived home, she went straight upstairs. It was almost 5 PM and Lando would pick her up at 6.
She took a quick shower, blowdried her hair and added some natural-looking makeup. Her outfit consisted of all-black pieces. A crop top, flared trousers and a blazer. Lexi styled it with black boots, her Louis Vuitton purse and some gold jewellery. She went downstairs and asked her mom to snap a quick picture. She had about 15 minutes left so she decided to post it on Instagram.
