Jay Sean - Maybe:
'Beep beep on. Now there goes my phone and once again I'm just hoping it's a text from you. It ain't right. Read your messages twice, thrice, four times a night, it's true'

Lando slept in until 10 AM today, it was a Saturday after all. There was an hour of training planned in the afternoon, but for now, he wanted to stay in bed and watch some Netflix. He selected a random movie that he hadn't watched yet and while the opening credits rolled by, he checked the messages on his phone. Suddenly, he remembered what happened last night. His mind went back to the moment he saw Lexi talking to Daniel at the bar and the little shock he felt when she was already looking at him with those big brown eyes. Her beige dress complemented her complexion beautifully and he loved the glowy makeup on her face. Not that she needed it, but it made her look even more sophisticated. He couldn't believe he didn't recognize her immediately after spending their entire childhood in the same class. But he was right, she really grew up and looked more 'woman-like' now. He could slap himself for saying that, but luckily it made her laugh. The evening started off quite slow, but they ended up dancing and talking with their entire group all night.

While Lando was scrolling through Instagram, he remembered working up the courage to comment on her post last night when he got home from the event. The fact that she used the exact words he told her, in her caption gave him the confidence to do so. He went to check if she had responded but she hadn't. He finally pressed the follow button and gave himself a mental pat on the back because that took him a while. The urge to message her had been strong ever since he found her profile a couple of days ago but it seemed even stronger now. Lando wanted to know more about her and the conversation they had yesterday was way too short. He decided today was his 'be bold' day because he started typing:

@landonorris:
Hey, just wanted to say that I really liked seeing and talking to you again last night. I'm sorry for not recognizing you. I think my brain is filled up to capacity lately. Did you get home okay?

Lando ran his hand through his hair and let out a deep sigh. He put his phone down and finally paid attention to the movie that had been playing in the background this entire time. An hour went by and the movie finished. Lando didn't even remember what the movie was about because he was thinking about every detail of the conversation he had with Lexi last night. He finally got up out of bed, picked out a fresh set of gym clothes from his closet and changed into them. He went downstairs to check his meal plan for today and made some yoghurt with berries to eat. A notification came through on his phone and he ran through the kitchen to read it.

@lexi.abrams:
Hi! My journey was fine, fairly short. It's okay, you don't have to keep apologizing. I had a lot of fun catching up with you and laughing at your dance moves. They need some practice 😉

Lando laughed at her comment and he felt relieved to know she enjoyed the evening as much as he did. He thought about a clever response for a while but couldn't think of anything. He decided to leave his phone at home while he was training, so he wouldn't get distracted. Maybe he would come up with a good answer during his session. After his breakfast, he went to brush his teeth and then it was time to leave. 'I can't wait to be home already'. he thought.

He was knackered when he got home two hours later. His trainer Jon didn't show any mercy for him today. The exercises were hard and pushed him to his limits. Lando's neck was sore and he desperately needed a shower. However, this gave him a great idea for a reply to send to Lexi:

@landonorris:
I won't be dancing again anytime soon. Not just because I don't want to show off my horrible moves again, but I can't even move my body anymore after this afternoon's training session. Know anyone that gives great neck massages? 😬

@lexi.abrams:
My mom. But I doubt that's what you meant 😅 I hope it gets better soon though. What are your plans for the rest of the day? Anything exciting planned?

Drying his hair with his towel, Lando laughed at her answer and thought about what to say next. He didn't have anything planned but he was afraid the conversation would die out when he said that. Maybe he would start streaming and tell her about it. He needed to practice for the next race anyway.

@landonorris:
I will be streaming on Twitch a little later, so maybe not as exciting as the party yesterday but good fun anyway. Are you having a nice day off?

@lexi.abrams:
Oh, that sounds like fun! I watched your stream the other night. After I followed you on Instagram you posted a story in which you announced your stream. I only watched for a little bit, but it was cool to see! My day is really boring. Big textbooks, mugs and mugs of tea and thousands of photos to sort through. Your messages are the highlight of my day, really 😊

A blush crept on Lando's face. He was the highlight of her day like she had been his for a couple of days now. The second feeling that arose in him was doubt. He told Max on stream about meeting her earlier that Thursday. 'Could she have been watching when he said that?' She didn't mention anything about it, so he assumed she didn't know. He went up to his room and started up his simulator. After sitting there thinking about starting the stream, he ran out of the room to his bathroom and looked in the mirror to check his appearance. 'What is happening to me?' Lando thought to himself. He had never been insecure about his looks online before. But knowing she could be watching, made him a little nervous. He started his stream, grabbed his phone and decided to send her one last message.

@landonorris:
That's good to know, the same goes for me. I'm starting my stream now, so I will be preoccupied for the rest of the evening. But you are more than welcome to come watch. I hope we can talk again soon! x

'Was the kiss too much?' He didn't have much time to think about it, because his chat was going crazy wondering who he was texting. Sometimes it was a bit annoying having to explain everything you did and most of the time, he just tried to ignore it. Like now. He talked to his chat for a while, read the subscriber notifications and chose the Imola circuit on his simulator to practice for next weekend. When he looked up and read his chat, one message stood out to him:

lexi.abrams: 'just found my background noise for tonight's study session 😊 x'

Lando smiled and thought of her sitting in her room, all cosy with her hair tied up reading through her textbooks and having his face on her laptop at the side. It gave him a weird but warm feeling. The stream went smoothly, the practice however was a bit harder due to his sore muscles. But every time he looked up and saw Lexi's name in the chat, his smile got wider and wider.
