"Hi mom!" Lando said when he heard his mom's voice on the other side of the line. He hadn't talked to her in a while and he missed his family. "How are you doing sweetie?" she asked and Lando smiled. "I'm doing great. The race last weekend was awesome, after the disappointment of Saturday of course. The podium felt really good. And on top of that I went on a date on Monday". He grinned thinking back on the past week. It had truly been the best week of his life. "You met a girl?!" He heard the excitement in his mom's voice. "Well, I kind of already knew her. I just hadn't seen her in a very long time. Do you remember Lexi Abrams from my class back in the day? She came to MTC to take pictures for Autosport Magazine and I didn't recognize her at first". He started telling her everything that happened with Lexi the past few weeks. Well, almost everything.
His mom told him she and his dad were really proud watching him race and take his spot on the podium last Sunday. She also asked a lot of questions about Lexi. She did remember her and had always thought she was a nice girl. Cisca wanted to know if Lando had feelings for her and if he saw them being together in the future. "Yes. I would really like that. I haven't had these feelings before". He told her and his mom was so happy for him. "We would love to see her again someday, you should bring her over for dinner tomorrow". Lando appreciated the offer and told his mom he would ask Lexi. They talked for a little while longer about his brother and sisters and the last race. After a while, Lando said goodbye and hung up the phone. He went to his text conversation with Lexi and decided to ask her.
Lando ✌️: Hey love, how are you? I wanted to ask you something. Would you like to come with me to my parents this weekend for dinner? I'm visiting them tomorrow.. x
He was a little nervous about her answer but he was sure about his feelings for this girl. He wouldn't have taken just anyone over, but Lexi made him feel things he was sure he would never feel for anyone else. He had known her since he was little and they experienced so much together in such a short amount of time. They were really exploring everything together. When he heard his phone beep, his heart made a little jump.
Lexi 😍: Hi 🧡 I would love to. Shall I come to your house tomorrow morning? I have some more studying to do this evening and you are streaming, right? x
Lando ✌️: Tomorrow morning is fine. I'm playing COD tonight with Max and a couple of others. Please remember to take a few breaks, don't work too hard okay? 😊x
Lexi 😍: I won't. Will be listening to your stream in the background. Can't wait to see you again 😘 x
Lando put his phone down on his desk with a smile on his face. He went downstairs to grab his dinner out of the oven before he nearly burned his house down again. Max was playing already and he watched his stream for a couple of minutes while eating his dinner. When he was done, Lando put his plate to the side and started up COD and his stream. He got a lot of new subscribers and spent a while talking to his chat. "I'm going to visit my parents tomorrow, can't wait to see them". He smiled looking right into the camera.

Lexi had been studying all day. Her finals for this year were coming up and even though her grades were almost all A's already, she wanted to make sure she knew everything there was to learn. She opened her laptop and went to Twitch after getting a notification that Lando started streaming. She got a warm and fuzzy feeling inside when she saw his face. He was talking to his chat, answering their questions. "I'm going to visit my parents tomorrow, can't wait to see them". He looked right up into the camera and it was as if he was talking to her. She couldn't wait to see him too. Her eyes focused back on her textbook and it was so nice to have his voice in the background while she was studying.
"How's your girl doing?" Max asked Lando a while later and Lexi could hear the smirk on his face. "I don't know what you are talking about". Lexi could tell he was feeling uncomfortable talking about her online. She decided to joke around and send him a text saying 'his girl' was perfect because she was looking at his cute face right now. She heard his phone beep and saw his eyes wander over to the screen. He showed a small smile and his cheeks turned a deeper shade of red before he started typing. 'I wish I could see those faces 'my girl' pulled yesterday morning again, the best view I ever had'. She read in his text back to her. Oh my god. This boy looked so innocent with his little glasses and backwards cap but she knew better.
It was really difficult for Lexi to focus on her textbook now and she decided she had done enough studying for today. She scrolled through Instagram for a while, got another cup of tea and moved her laptop over to her bed to watch Lando's stream all cosied up. He streamed for another hour and when he was done, Lexi was really tired and got up to brush her teeth and head to bed.

It was early on a Saturday morning and Lexi was getting ready to leave. She had showered and got dressed in a red off-the-shoulder dress with little black dots on them. She styled it with some boots, gold jewellery and curled her hair. Lexi thought it would be a good idea to pack a bag with some stuff to keep in her car, just in case she would stay over at Lando's again tonight. When she had packed everything she would need, it was time to leave. She kissed both of her parents on the cheek and stepped into her car. The drive was about 15 minutes to his house, so she texted him saying she would be there soon. He told her to drive safe and Lexi put on her playlist to sing along softly to.
When she arrived, she texted him and he opened the gate and front door for her. Lexi saw his face when she got out of the car and he looked a little speechless. "Why do you keep getting more beautiful every time I see you?" He said, making her feel shy while he pulled her towards him by her lower back. He kissed her softly and Lexi felt herself melt into his arms. "I missed you". She said and he looked into her eyes before he took her hand in his to go inside. "I missed you too, love". She loved the nickname he had been using for her a couple of times now and she closed her eyes while she embraced him again. "Are you excited to see your parents today?" "Yeah, it's been a while. My mom was really looking forward to seeing you again". He told her and it made Lexi smile up at him.
"We have to go soon, it's a 2-hour drive to get to my parents' house". He said while grabbing his coat and keys. He took a bouquet of flowers for his mom and a bottle of champagne for his dad and he looked to see if Lexi was ready. "I'm ready to go". She said and she patted her purse to say she had everything she needed in there. "Let's go then". They walked outside and Lexi got into Lando's car. He put the stuff in the boot of the car and got in on the driver's side before he drove out of the gate headed to his parents' house.
