"Do you want to bring this?" Lexi's mom asked holding up her stuffed animal from when she was a kid. Lexi reached over to grab the little bear and let out a chuckle. "No, you can keep it here, so you can think of me sometimes". She gave it back to her mom and continued stuffing her underwear and socks inside her suitcase. They had been packing up her room all morning and Lexi had gotten emotional at least twice already. She loved the idea of moving in with Lando, but she was going to miss her family, even though they only lived 15 minutes away. When Caroline finished taping up the last box of stuff, she sighed and looked around the room. "I'll keep everything the same, for when you two decide to want to spend a few nights here, okay?" She said. Lexi walked over and gave her mom a hug. "We will come to visit as much as we can mom, I promise". They brought the last few boxes downstairs into the truck her dad hired for this afternoon to move all of her stuff over to Lando's house.
"Can you take a picture of me mom?" Lexi asked when she stood in her usual picture spot before they would leave as she wanted to remember this moment forever. Lexi was wearing a blue crop top and beige sweatpants and treasured the feeling of standing in front of her family home before she was moving out to go live with her boyfriend. She also took a selfie with her mom before her dad called her over to step inside the truck. He only had an hour because he was on his lunch break so Lexi quickly hugged her mom goodbye and wiped a few tears from her face. "I'll come and visit you soon okay?" She said while hugging Joey and turned around to join her dad on the trip over to Lando's. "Are you excited, darling?" He asked and Lexi nodded. "Yes, I am. But I will miss you guys a lot. You need to come over for dinner very soon okay?" She said while looking at her dad and she saw him swallow hard before he nodded. The trip went by fast and by the time Lexi had posted her picture on Instagram, her dad had parked on the driveway of her new house.

Lando saw the truck arrive on his driveway and walked outside to greet Dave before he turned to Lexi. He walked over to her, put his arm around her neck and leaned his mouth to her ear. "Welcome home princess". He whispered before he gave her a soft kiss on the cheek and he could see the sparkles in her eyes. They unloaded the boxes from the truck and moved them into a spare room for now. They had a week to unpack before they were headed off to Russia for the next race, so there was no rush right now. Dave left after saying goodbye to his daughter because he had to return the truck and get back to work and Lando saw Lexi's eyes well up with tears when they entered their home for the first time together. "Are you having second thoughts?" He asked while grabbing onto her waist and pulling her close to him. Lexi shook her head and looked up into his eyes. "I have never been so certain of anything in my life". She said and Lando smiled before he leaned down to kiss her.
The afternoon went by quickly, with Lexi getting settled into her new house and she was rearranging Lando's closet so her clothes would fit when her phone rang. Olivia was FaceTiming her and Lexi answered as quickly as she could. She hadn't talked to her best friend in a while and she missed her. "Hey babes! All settled into your new home yet?" She heard Liv say and she let out a chuckle. "Well, I'm working on it!" She said and turned the camera so her best friend could see the pile of clothes on the floor. "I'm so excited for you Lex, you deserve to be happy after the last couple of months you had". Lexi smiled at her through the screen and blew her a kiss. "When are you coming over for dinner?" She asked and they made plans for after the Russian GP. The best friends talked for a little while longer, catching up on everything that happened the last few weeks and Lexi was happy to see Liv's face again. When they ended their phone call, she walked through the hallway towards Lando's streaming room. He was playing some Call Of Duty with Max, but he wasn't streaming.
"Hey handsome, what do you want to do for dinner?" She asked him when he had turned around and muted his mic. Lexi took a seat on his lap and his hands made their way to her waist. Lexi loved the fact that they had to plan their day together now and he would be near her all the time. "Let's order something for tonight and then we'll cook together tomorrow night okay?" He asked her and Lexi nodded. She was quite tired anyway and curling up on the sofa with him sounded amazing right now. "Are you almost done playing? I would like to watch a movie with you or something.." She asked him after they had ordered some Chinese food on his phone and he nodded. I'll finish this one and then I'll be downstairs soon okay?" Lando planted a kiss on her forehead and Lexi stood up from his lap to head downstairs. She walked around the living room for a while, just realizing this would be her home from now on. She sat down on the sofa, turned on the tv and grabbed a blanket to cuddle under. She already felt right at home here.
Lando came down not much later and Lexi chose a romantic comedy to watch while waiting for their food. "Are you getting settled in okay?" Lando asked while moving closer towards her and lifting his arm so she could cuddle into his side. "I feel at home, wherever you are, so it's not that difficult". Lexi answered and she planted a sweet kiss on his lips. She couldn't believe this was the first day of their new lives together and she turned her head a little to look at her handsome boyfriend while he pressed play on the remote. His hair was messy on top of his head, just how she liked it and he had a subtle smile on his face from the first scenes on the screen. Lexi realised she missed the first ten minutes when she heard the doorbell ring to remind them that they had ordered food. Lando stood up to answer the door while Lexi headed to the kitchen to set the table quickly.
When they had finished their food, Lexi was cleaning up the dishes in the kitchen when she gasped as she suddenly felt his presence right behind her. "This is a sight I can get used to, my gorgeous girl in OUR kitchen". He accentuated the word while whispering in her ear and his hands had made their way to the exposed skin on her midriff. Lexi felt his breath ghost over her neck and she subtly leaned her head sideways to give him more space. His lips wandered over her neck up to her ears and he nibbled on her earlobe while Lexi had put down the last plate quickly before she would drop it. She let out a whimper when his tongue explored the skin on her throat and she could feel his arousal getting more present against her bum. Lexi turned around and put her hands on his chest, feeling his strong muscles before she moved them over to his biceps. Lando lifted her up by the back of her thighs and planted her on the kitchen counter. His lips settled on hers firmly and the kiss felt passionate from the start.
