After a tiring day and an even more exhausting evening (in a good way) Lexi had the best night sleep she had in a while. She slept in Lando's room and when his alarm went off at 8 o'clock, she had been awake for about half an hour already just thinking about last night and cuddling up to her boyfriend. It was still strange to her that they were official now. She felt her necklace and a small smile grew on her face. Lando slowly woke up and turned around to see his new girlfriend already looking so happy. "Good morning boyfriend, ready to get in the car today?" He nodded and moved over to cuddle her for a while longer. After another 10 minutes, Lexi went back to her room to change into her work clothes and on her way there, she texted Liv.

Remember you told me to enjoy the beautiful weather and my man and I said he wasn't my man yet? Well, he is now. And boy, did I enjoy last night 😏 x

She added a picture of her wearing the necklace and admired herself with it in the bathroom mirror. She loved that he had planned to take her out on a date and ask her then, but couldn't wait any longer last night. The amount of love she felt for this boy after having sex with him for the first time, was indescribable. Lexi shook her head to get out of her thoughts and changed into her work outfit. She got ready and collected all the equipment she would need at the track today. She was excited to see the drivers get in the car and even more excited to take pictures of it. Lexi heard her phone beep and she knew it would be Olivia, wanting to know every single detail.

Lexi smiled and stepped out of her hotel room. Lando had already left to go to the track with his trainer Jon so she waited for Helen and Charlotte in the lobby of the hotel and went in the van with them. It was such a cool feeling to be able to hold her own pass in front of the scanner at the gates and hear the sound that would let her through. She walked over to the McLaren hospitality, unpacked her camera and went on her way to the garage. Daniel was already in there, having a brief meeting with his engineers. "Good morning Lexi!" He waved at her and she waved back before she went to work. She took some pictures of Daniel's preparations for the training, the car and did the same at Lando's side when he had entered with his trainer Jon.

When it was time for the cars to roll out of the garage, Lexi found a good spot across the pitlane and waited for Lando to pass her in his McLaren. He waved at her when he drove by and she loved that even when he was in full concentration mode, he still thought about her. The sound of the engines made the hairs on her arms stand up and it was the most exciting day of her life. She took a few photos in different corners around the track and made sure she was back in the garage when the cars were being rolled in again. "Make sure to get my good side, okay?" Daniel said when he walked past her and she gave him a little push while laughing. She thought Daniel was hilarious and they were getting on quite well lately.

Lando was watching the scene from the other side of the garage and felt a slight sting in his heart when he saw Lexi tilt her head back while laughing at Daniels joke and touch his arm when they were talking. "Lando! I have been calling your name for about 30 seconds already. Are you okay?" Jon said, waving his hand in front of his face. "Well, yeah, I'm fine". Lando said and shook the thought out of his brain. He had work to do. But so did Daniel, he thought. Lexi walked over to Lando's side of the garage and smiled at him when she walked by. He didn't smile back. Not because he was angry or jealous but just because his mouth didn't seem to want to cooperate. He had never felt jealous about anything Lexi did, but she was his now and he wanted to protect her.

'Why didn't he smile back at me?' Lexi thought when she took a seat at the back of the garage. 'He just ignored me..' They had been in a relationship for less than 24 hours and the doubts were starting already. 'What if everything is different now? Maybe we rushed into it..'  With a sad feeling in the pit of her stomach, Lexi left the garage and went to the hospitality to start the rest of her work. When she sat down at a table in the back of the hospitality centre, Lexi touched her necklace and looked at the screensaver on her phone. It was a picture of her and Lando, that they had taken in the hotel room last night. 'Maybe I'm just overreacting. I just need to talk to him later'  Lexi thought and imported all the photos she had taken that morning.

The second practice went by quickly and Lexi made her way back to the hotel by herself afterwards. When she entered her room, she dropped her bags on the floor and fell on her bed. The gnawing feeling in her belly hadn't gone away yet and she hoped Lando just had a rough practice and there wasn't actually anything wrong. She laid there for a while before she stood up to take a shower. When she wanted to enter the bathroom, she heard a knock on her door. A relieved feeling rushed through her when she saw Lando standing on the other side with a soft look in his eyes. "Hey babe.." He said before he followed her inside. He sat down on her bed and followed her with his eyes while she walked through the room, trying to clean some clothes off the floor and chairs.

"How was your day?" She said and he could tell by the sound of her voice that something was wrong. "It was alright. Not really happy with the car in the first practice, but the second one was better". She hesitated but decided to ask him anyway. "Was that why you ignored me?" Lando knew what she was talking about but asked her what she meant by that anyway. "Well I walked over from Daniel's side of the garage to yours, I smiled at you and you just ignored me and turned around!" She was getting a little emotional now. The stress and doubt of today starting to get too much. Lando stood up and walked closer to her. "I- ehh.. I saw you with Daniel. You were laughing at his joke and you gave him a little push and I don't know why, but I felt so weird.."

"You.. you were jealous of Daniel?" Lexi asked him, the tears now on the verge of spilling from her eyes and he nodded while staring at the floor. "Yeah, maybe a little.." Lexi was shocked, she liked Daniel but not like that. "You know he is 10 years older than me, right?" "Yes I do, but I also know he is much funnier, better looking and more successful than me". Lando said, still not looking her in the eyes. "I don't think so. I think you are the most handsome, sweet, caring and funny guy I've ever met. I have only ever liked you in my life. I have never told you this but I had the biggest crush on you when we were in school. That's why I didn't look you in the eyes the first day at McLaren!" Lexi said, with tears rolling down her face.

Lando looked at her with big eyes. "You did? I never knew that". He grabbed her hands in his and pulled her close to him by her lower back. "Hey come here, I'm sorry. I didn't want to upset you. I wasn't really going to say anything about it but when I couldn't smile back I knew we were going to have to talk about it. I'm really sorry Lex. I just can't lose you.." Lexi looked up and stood on her tippy toes to give him a soft kiss. Lando wiped the tears from her stained cheek and kissed her back. "Was this our first fight?" Lexi asked softly. "I would call it a misunderstanding. I don't want to fight with you, ever". Lando said and he pulled her close. They spent the rest of the evening cuddled up under the duvet in bed watching more episodes of Black Mirror and talking about their day. They promised to never fight again..
